Turbo engine (L3B), may have a condition where the engine wiring harness could wear through in several locations. This may allow the engine harness to short to ground and/or be severed, which may lead to a check engine light, reduced engine power, no start condition or in rare cases a stall. Dealers are to wrap the wiring harness with Nylogard sleeve(s) in areas of concern.

This feature will not function if the voltage becomes low and the vehicles is In Off Power Mode. A service engine soon (SES) light will illuminate upon starting or jump starting the vehicle and multiple U-Codes will be stored in the engine control module (ECM). The U-Code combinations will include two or more of the following codes: U0101, U0102, U0129, U0140, U18A2. Dealers are to reprogram the ECM.

The required Vehicle Emission Control Information (VECI) label may not have been installed. Since a new label can be easily installed, and to reduce customer inconvenience, the label will be sent directly to customers of record along with the installation instructions. Customers may install the label or, if they desire, they may take the label to their dealer for installation at no charge.
