14572 - CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM. CERTAIN VEHICLES HAVE A COOLER OUTLET CONNECTOR PIPE ON THE AUXILIARY TRANSMISSION COOLER THAT MAY NOT BE PROPERLY SEALED TO ITS MATING CONNECTION. THE IMPROPER SEAL MAY CAUSE TRANSMISSION OIL TO LEAK OR, UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS, THE CONNECTOR PIPE TO DISCONNECT FROM THE MATING CONNECTION. THE DISCONNECTION OF THE CONNECTOR PIPE MAY RESULT IN A LOSS OF VEHICLE PROPULSION, AND LEAKING TRANSMISSION OIL COULD CAUSE SMOLDERING IF IT CONTACTS THE HEATED INTAKE EXHAUST PIPES OR MUFFLERS. DEALERS ARE TO REPLACE THE AUXILIARY TRANSMISSION COOLER ASSEMBLY.

This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that will not connect to OnStar. Technician may find Diagnostic Trouble Code B2470-04 set in the Vehicle Communication Interface Module also a red LED on the OnStar keypad will be on. Technician will need to follow published diagnostics for the Diagnostic Trouble Code. If the diagnostics lead to replacement of the Vehicle Communication Interface Module read the OnStar Customer Identifier using Global Diagnostic System 2. If the value falls in range the technician will need to remove power from the module for 5 minutes. After the power cycle was performed, check for the Diagnostic Trouble Code to be set current or history. If the Diagnostic Trouble Code is current replace the module. If the Diagnostic Trouble Code is history no further action is required.

This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have the base power seat, Memory Recall, and Easy Exit Recall functions may seem erratic or seem to operate intermittently. The new seat system utilizes two switches that were not used on prior models. There is a bulkhead limit switch and a seatback unlock switch. Both of these switches can be viewed in Global Diagnostic System 2. There are also 2 modes that were not on prior models. These modes are unsupervised movement and supervised movement. This all-new system allows the user to Enable or Disable the Auto Memory Recall operation of the seat.
