Read the applicability before drawing a conclusion.

This archive includes service bulletins, warranty notices, software instructions and other communications. Records may repeat or supersede earlier instructions. A model-year association is not proof that a document covers every engine, trim, VIN or reported symptom, or that a repair is free.

The customer may report that after selecting a specific temperature in AUTO mode, the resulting airflow and temperature are uncomfortable. The customer complaint is subjective and may be difficult to diagnose during a road test. Please test drive with the customer before as well as after this repair to ensure a thorough understanding of the customer's concern. At certain outside temperatures and operating conditions, the temperature in the passenger compartment fluctuates. This is caused by the unventilated sensor in the air conditioning control panel. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 57 number 11-55 dated August 22, 2011. Central locking via remote control does not work either sporadically or permanently. The locks can still be operated manually. Missing synchronization between the remote control key and vehicle because the battery has been disconnected or the battery of the remote control has been replaced. If other senders operate in the same frequency range (mobile phones, TV stations, wireless headphones, baby monitors, other vehicle remote controls, etc.), the remote control key may have been temporarily switched off because a clear identification of the remote control key is not possible. This is necessary to prevent an unintentional unlocking of the vehicle by other unrelated senders.

The customer may state that the outside ambient temperature display is incorrect. To achieve a smoothening effect of the displayed outside ambient temperature, the value shown does not instantaneously follow the temperature sensor measurement. The display will not change faster than 4° F (2° C) per minute. This concept applies to both falling and rising temperatures. A programming strategy is also implemented to avoid incorrect readings on a parked vehicle, due to the temperature sensor being affected by outside influences such as radiant heat from the engine bay, elevated road surface temperatures, etc.

Customer may report transmission warning light comes on. No drivability/starting concerns. GFF scan shows fault code- P060300 (Control Module Malfunctioning, Sporadic), stored in the Transmission control module (02). The entry is caused by a too sensitive diagnosis in the gearbox control unit. This does not affect the driving characteristics.

Update Bulletin

NHTSA communication ID: 10122713

NHTSA source summary · Original PDF not reviewed by Recallfolio

The MIL is on for steering related faults. This Update is in effect until removed. Procedure is valid only for vehicles that show the 48K4 code in the ElsaWeb Campaign/Action Information screen on the day of repair. Vehicle must be within the New Vehicle Limited Warranty. Procedure must be performed within the allotted time frame stated in this Technical Service Bulletin. Procedure must be performed on applicable vehicles in dealer inventory prior to sale. On Audi vehicles with electromechanical power steering manufactured within a specific period, an irregularity detected by the diagnosis function can result in an implausible status immediately after the engine is started. This causes the warning lamp for the electromechanical power steering to light up. There is no loss of steering functionality.
