This document was created In response to multiple dealership inquires about aftermarket universal (one fluid fits all) automatic transmission fluids and transmission flushing, Volkswagen Group of America, Volkswagen Canada have prepared the following statement. At this time, Volkswagen Group of America, Volkswagen Canada do not support or warranty any use of aftermarket universal automatic transmission fluids or the machines used to flush the transmissions. This applies to all standard automatic and DSG transmissions. Due to the functional and design variations in each automatic transmission, the transmission fluid is developed and used by Volkswagen for specific purpose within each application. Under no circumstances are these fluids to be used outside their designated transmission and replacing any of the Volkswagen approved automatic transmission fluids with a universal ?one fluid fits all? approach is not accepted.

Hybrid batteries which are being replaced under Warranty for any reason and are stable can be shipped back for analysis in the same container that the new battery was received in. VW QTM can assist in making the determination if HV-Battery is stable for shipping or not. Service Action Campaign (Certain 2009-2012 Model Year Vehicles with TDI® Clean Diesel Engine Install Misfueling Guard): As diesel engine passenger vehicles become more popular, auto manufacturers have seen an increase in the number of misfueling cases where diesel engine vehicles are mistakenly fueled with gasoline. The resulting fuel system contamination can lead to costly repairs that are not covered under warranty. The corrective action taken was as an additional safeguard to help prevent a gasoline fuel pump nozzle from being used to fuel a TDI® Clean Diesel engine vehicle, dealers will install a misfueling guard in the fuel filler neck of vehicles affected by this action. Additionally, a new fuel filler neck cap will also be installed. Please note: The misfueling guard is designed to prevent a gasoline fuel pump nozzle from entering a vehicle?s fuel filler neck, thereby reducing the risk of fuel system contamination from gasoline. Even with this guard installed, remind anyone who refuels the vehicle that it requires diesel fuel, and to double-check the fuel pump to ensure the correct fuel is selected before filling the tank.

Tech Tips (Radiator Identification Sensor): On TSI (2.0l CCTA, CBFA) equipped vehicles with fault code P2568 Direct Ozone Reduction Catalyst Temperature Sensor, this fault refers to - G611- as Radiator Identification Sensor. If the radiator requires replacement on any above listed vehicle, the -G611- will be packaged separately within the radiator packaging. The new sensor will need to be bonded to the radiator.
