This bending could cause micro-cracking of the chrome plating and ultimately result in red rust forming on the base steel bumper. Dealers are to inspect for rust with step pad in place and apply wax if no rust is present. If rust is present with step pad in place, replace the chrome bumper.

Technician will need to slightly bend the end of the J-38125-12A release tool. There is a purple Terminal Position Assurance that will align itself in the release position when the release tool is inserted into the release hole. There is a metal locking tab on the terminal that will need to be pushed in before the terminal will pull out of the connector.

Loss of propulsion is possible, and there is a remote chance of fire if there is a fuel leak. Replace fuel rail assembly.
