13282A - Service Update (revised exhange allowance). An analysis of transmission build data revealed that there could be a durability issue with the transmissions originally installed in these vehicles. To ensure the highest quality and best ownership experience for our customers, these transmissions need to be replaced prior to vehicle delivery. This bulletin provides a service procedure to replace the transmission assembly on certain vehicles equipped with 6T40 automatic transmission (MHH). The transmissions in these vehicles may have been assembled with an improperly manufactured snap ring. A burr on the snap ring can cause it to stick to the aluminum housing causing the snap ring to compress and come out of the retaining groove. If this occurs, the Check Engine Light illuminates and the transmission enters default mode (Second Gear - 65 mph or 104 km/h maximum and Reverse Gear operation only). Customer complaints may include no shift, erratic shifts, growls and slipping, hesitation and jerks.

13283 - Service Update. An analysis of engine build data revealed that there could be a durability issue with the engines originally installed in these vehicles. To ensure the highest quality and best ownership experience for our customers, these engines need to be replaced prior to vehicle delivery. This bulletin provides a service procedure to replace the engine assembly on certain vehicles equipped with 4 cylinder engine (RPO LCV or LKW). Due to a casting error, these vehicles may have engine pistons that are dimensionally incorrect. Over time, contact between the cylinder valves and the piston could result in engine noise, rough running and/or bent valves.

13282 - Service Update.

13257 - Service Update. Reprogram the body control module (BCM). When the key is turned to start the engine, a series of communication events occur. If there is an interruption in this communication, it could result in a no crank/start condition. The engine can be started with the remote start feature; however, the engine will shut down within 5 seconds if the communication error occurs. After waiting approximately 10 minutes, the engine can be started. This condition may or may not occur on subsequent starts, depending on whether or not there is a communication error.
