TT: The new DCA-8000 Diagnostic Charger may cause your facility?s Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) breaker to trip. A GFCI breaker can be tripped for various reasons, one of the reasons may be related to the DCA-8000. We are investigating this issue to determine the root cause. Other reasons the GFCI breaker may trip ? Circuit demand is too high for GFCI rating ? Worn out GFCI internal contacts ? Improper installation or wiring of GFCI breaker

TSB: Some 2018 ? 2019 model year Toyota vehicles equipped with the Entune? 3.0 Premium Audio Navigation System require a Special Service Tool (SST) USB flash drive to update the map, points of interest, and system software. The SST is used with applicable vehicles to deliver the update; however, the process for generating license keys differs from previous generations. Before attempting to perform a map update, the head unit?s expiration date must be checked. If the expiration date is still valid, a license key may be generated without the use of an activation card number. Updating the maps without the use of an activation card number is considered an Embedded Navigation Update (refer to pg. 9), and performing this process does not extend the duration of telematic map services. If the head unit?s expiration date is expired, or is expiring within the next 90 days, it should be recommended to the customer to purchase an activation number. Utilizing an activation number will initiate a Dynamic Navigation Update (refer to pg. 2). This Dynamic Navigation Update will perform the Embedded Navigation Update and provide telematic map services for a period of two years from the day that the Dynamic Navigation Update is performed. Activation card numbers are provided in an activation card number pamphlet available through the normal parts ordering system. Follow the process in this bulletin to perform the update. NOTE Map data is released once each year through the shipment of an SST USB flash drive to each dealer. The SST MUST be stored in the SST cabinet to ensure it can be easily found

TT: The current engine active test ?Control the Injection Mode? is not operating as desired when controlling the direct injectors manually on 2GR-FKS engines. When direct injection is started and then stopped using the active test, current ECU logic does not turn off the direct injectors and can cause DTCs P017200, P017500 and P0160300. To avoid this condition, technicians should raise engine RPM when changing back and forth between the Direct Injection and Port Injection active tests. Use the recommended procedure below to avoid this concern while testing injection mode of FKS equipped vehicles. TT: Safety Connect is a vehicle option which requires a subscription fee for the system to be active. The trail period of service is provided upon the vehicle purchase. Once the subscription has expired the DCM (Telematics Transceiver) will be in an inactive state. In some instances, a DCM may need to be replaced even though the customer is not using the service. If registration of the replacement DCM part is attempted using the Techstream utility after the account has become inactive, the registration will fail, and messages such as "ATX webserver is Down" or "ATX error" will be displayed.
