Radio and Back-up Camera Enhancements This bulletin involves updating the radio software level to 1848.34. Customers may experience one or more of the following:Radio display screen flickers. Clock loses 6 seconds per day (JL with 5 inch screen). Green horizontal lines on back up display, in reverse (If this is the customer concern use camera LOP 18-60-02-W2, on DT and JL vehicles only). Ghost Touch, features, modes and App?s changing without drivers input. Speaker pop noise when using Bluetooth device. When vehicle is first start the radio will reset and the time display shows 12:00. Audio distortion and volume fluctuation. Blank rear camera image in reverse (If this is the customer concern use camera LOP 18-60-02-W2, on DT and JL vehicles only). Audio distortion (KL vehicles). Audio cutting in and out during memory recall. Ring tone too loud. AM/FM volume fluctuates. While in CarPlay® or Android Auto Google® maps showing wrong location. Phone disconnected after first call. Black screen or White screen with vertical lines. Personal Identification Number (PIN) clears and volume locked while KeySense is used. Audio static while in SXM/SAT modes. Echo heard during Bluetooth phone calls. The radio is locked up. The radio remains on after ignition has been turned off. The radio resets. The radio screen turns black. Intermittently requires an anti-theft code to be entered. Software update also includes software enhancement.SXM sound and behavior improvements.

UAV and UCV Radio Enhancements This bulletin has been canceled. The software on the Uconnect site will be turned off. Any USB flash drives that has this software on it must be deleted. If the radio is updated with 28.3 software it may cause more issues with the radio and dissatisfy the customer. Enhanced software should be available the first quarter of 2021.

Transmission Oil Pan, Heater (TMU), Tube or O-ring Applies to vehicles equipped with 8 speed transmissions only; if you have a leak that appears to be at the pan the use of proper leak detection is recommended. The fluid in the 8 speeds can be detected with a black light and there are aftermarket spray on leak detection materials to help ensure that the leak is properly diagnosed and not from another location such as cooler lines, heater tubes, or case porosity. Please note that the transmission pan gasket is available for many of the 8 speed applications FCA offers. Please review the available quick connect and transfer tube parts, as replacement of the TMU may not be required. If a TOC line connection is found to be the source, the quick connect may need replacement. If the leak source is coming from the connection of the TMU to the transmission, the transfer tube may need replacement. When parts are returned to the QEC the retaining clips (snap ring) for the quick disconnect fittings are missing. (This leaves a question as to whether the clips were missing from the assembly plant, or the technician removed them in order to make line removal easier.) Please return the clips with the transmission heater and note if they were not there to begin with. For any questions regarding transmission heater, contact FCA Redacted Content.
