Customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation the technician may find one or more ofthe following DTCs: P0300 - Multiple Cylinder Misfire.If DTC P0300 is present either alone or along with other DTCs listed within thisbulletin the right intake camshaft MUST be replaced along with this software update (only if DTC P0300 is present). Improved Steering Feel This bulletin involves replacing the steering gear and updating the Electric Hydraulic Power Steering (EHPS) software, checking sales codes and performing vehicle reconfig, if required.Review and perform all steps necessary to complete the Repair Procedure. If any steps are missed, this may lead to undesired handling characteristics. The customer may describe one or more of the following: Steering wander. Vehicle has a lead/pull to the right or left.The lead/pull will be more noticeable in hot ambient temperatures. The root cause could be due to oil leaking from Bank 1 valve cover seal on to the 1/2 (Bank 1 downstream) O2 sensor. This can adversely affect the 1/2 O2 sensor signal reading and lead to listed DTCs. Before performing normal diagnostic routines for the above codes, check for the condition listed above.
