15809 - Service Parts Customer Satisfaction Program - Certain Chevrolet Silverado LD and GMC Sierra LD model vehicles equipped with the 12,000 lb. trailering package (RPO Z82) may have been serviced with, or the customer sold over the counter, a trailer hitch platform that could develop cracks at the weld points over time. With heavy towing loads over thousands of miles, these cracks could potentially propagate and fatigue the welds. If the trailer hitch platform welds fatigue while the vehicle is being operated with a trailered load, that trailer could become unsecured. Trailer Hitch Platforms involved in this program were sold over the counter or used to repair various serviced vehicles. For information on involved vehicles manufactured with the identified trailer hitch platforms refer to the latest version of Customer Satisfaction Bulletin 15036.

15801A - Customer Satisfaction Program. This bulletin is being revised to add a note at the beginning of the Service Information section. The 2016 model year GMC Sierra HD vehicle, and an increase in population has also been added. Vehicles equipped with Duramax Diesel Engine (RPO LGH or LML) and Ambulance Upfitter or Fire Truck Upfitter (RPO YF2 or ANM), may have a condition in which the emission control system as designed will limit speed under certain conditions. The EPA has approved General Motor?s request to remove the emission control system speed limitations on these emergency vehicles where applicable. Dealers are to reprogram the Engine Control Module (ECM) with new calibration for emergency vehicles, which will remove the emission control system speed limitations, and also provide an earlier warning for Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) regeneration.
