This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician when the customer comments that their digital vehicle speed display is showing a different speed than the analog vehicle speed display. There may be up to 2 miles per hour difference between the digital and analog vehicle speed displays. This is a normal condition due to the calculation tolerances being different for the two driver viewing angles for the analog speedometer; it may also appear to increase the difference between both displays. No part replacement is required as this is a normal operating characteristic of the vehicle. For CTS vehicles built between April and June of 2011 or the 2013 ATS, SRX, XTS built before August 29 2012 may have a 3 mile per hour or more variation. The technician is to replace the instrument panel cluster for this concern.

Lane Keep Assist works differently than Lane Departure Warning. The Lane Keep Assist icon is solid amber, Forward Camera Module is actively commanding a torque to Electronic Power Steering. This means that the driver should also feel some feedback from the steering wheel. No Chimes or haptic in the seat. Lane Keep Assist icon is flashing amber; Forward Camera Module is actively commanding torque to Electronic Power Steering. This will also be accompanied with Lane Departure Warning chimes and haptic in the seat feedback based on the setting chosen in the vehicle settings. 18237 - Emission Recall - TCM Software Potential Emissions Noncompliance. - General Motors has decided to conduct a voluntary emissions recall involving certain 2017-2018 model year vehicles equipped with an 8-speed transmission (RPO MRC) that were service programmed with incorrect transmission control module, (TCM) software. Vehicles programmed with this software may, under certain downhill driving conditions, remain stuck in gear or shift up later than expected, after RPMs (Revolutions Per Minute) are already high. This condition can only be cleared by an ignition key cycle (turning the vehicle off and then back on again) or by shifting the vehicle into and out of Neutral. Dealers are to reprogram the TCM.
