This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles with radio speakers have poor audio quality, buzz, pop, static type noise or no audio. Technician should inspect the trunk mounted radio amplifier for any signs of moisture. Technician will need to Replace the amplifier if water is present and replace any terminals that have corrosion. Also water test the trunk, sunroof, back glass and roof areas. Technician will need to fix any water leaks and clean out all drain tubes.

13125 - Customer Satisfaction Program - There may be an interference condition between the outside door handle and the door handle bracket assembly. This could cause the outside door handle to stick or bind in the open position when the door is opened from outside of the vehicle. If this occurs, the door may bounce back when attempting to close it. If the door does not latch, a warning chime will sound and a warning message in the instrument cluster will illuminate. Tapping on the outside door handle or closing the door with higher effort should free the door handle and allow it to latch. Dealers will inspect and modify the front and rear outside door handles.

This Preliminary Information communication advises the technician of a customer concern where the heated seat indicator light is not functioning or the heated seats are not up to operating temperature during a remote vehicle start event. This is normal operation of the heated seat during a remote vehicle start event. The electronic climate control module is not in a complete wake up state during a remote vehicle start mode and will not enable the light emitting diode. After a cold soak below 32 degrees Fahrenheit the seat will not get hot in the 10 minutes or less of the remote vehicle start mode. This is due to the fact that the heat element is not in direct contract with the seat surface while the seat is unoccupied and the foam below the heater is full cold insulating air which takes time to heat up. Technician is to communicate to the customer this condition is a normal operating characteristic of their vehicle. It will not impact the designed performance or reliability of the vehicle. Please share this information with the customer, including a copy of this message.

The technician may comment that the key in the fob will not fold close or stay latched closed. Damage to the folding mechanism could result from storing the key in the door lock cylinder and accidently bumping or making contact with the key fob. Please advise all dealer personnel to refrain from storing the key in the door lock even for brief periods.

Technician should be advised that Traffic and Weather data from local reporting stations and then send the updated info process may take up to 24 minutes. Technician may find Diagnostic Trouble Codes P0A8F and P062F. Technician will need to duplicate the concern. Technician will need to check Make certain that the plastic flashing of the fuse block is not preventing the fuse to fully seat against the bar in the Fuse Block and the nut is fully seated against the fuse, the fuse nut is properly torqued to specification 4.7 newton meter, test for battery voltage on each side of the fuse, test the voltage drop of each fuse, and make sure the Accessory Power Module cable connections and cable crimps at the Starter Generator Control Module / Accessory Power Module output terminal and Underhood Bussed Electrical center. Technician should replace any fuse that show voltage stress.
