Toyota models equipped with the Premium HDD Navigation (AVN/AW-EMV) System will periodically require an update to the Gracenote® Database. Gracenote® includes detailed information for songs (i.e., Genre, Artist, Song Title, Album Name, etc.). The Gracenote® update will be included on the ?USB Drive Navigation Map Update? SST. A Gracenote® update must be performed before a Navigation Map Update. A Navigation Map Update is not required to complete the Gracenote® update. Use the process described in this bulletin to perform the update.

Customers using iPhone 4, 4S, 5, 5S, or 5C running iOS 7.0 or later now have the ability to make Facetime Audio calls (no video). When a customer is paired by Bluetooth Hands Free and they make a Facetime Audio call the vehicle radio will treat it as a typical Bluetooth phone call. Because Facetime works differently than a typical phone call, the in-vehicle experience may not meet the customer?s expectations.

To receive satellite radio functions after the initial trial period has expired, the customer must enter into a contract with XM Satellite Radio Inc. After entering into a contract, registration of an 8-digit XM Radio ID is required. This 8-digit XM Radio ID is found by turning to channel ?0? of the satellite radio.

Customer retention and proper maintenance of vehicles has been a major focus for Toyota. To help remind customers that regular oil changes are essential to the proper maintenance of their vehicle, dealers are required to begin installing a first oil change reminder sticker prior to delivery. By doing this, customers will be reminded to return to your dealership for their first oil change. Your current oil change reminder sticker may be used. (See PDS Check Sheet item 9 of ?Final Inspection & Cleaning.?) A New PDS Check Sheet has been developed for the 2014 model year Prius V. Some check points have been added, expanded or clarified. The Advanced Parking Guidance System (or Park Assist) assists the driver during parking and parallel parking by displaying an image of the area behind the vehicle and controlling the steering wheel with the vehicle in reverse. Removing the short pin or disconnecting the battery interrupts power to the Steering Angle Sensor. When the short pin is reinstalled or the battery terminal is reconnected, the rear view monitor will operate, but the steering angle sensor center position must be set through system initialization before park assist will become operational. Initialize the Advanced Parking Guidance System after installing the short pin during Pre-delivery Service (PDS).
