2014 model year vehicles are equipped with driver?s side floor mat retaining clips to secure the floor mat in the correct position. In addition, some models may utilize retaining clips for passenger side and rear seat floor mats as well. Follow the appropriate installation procedure to attach the driver?s side, and if applicable, the passenger?s side and rear seat floor mats to the vehicle carpet using the floor mat retaining clips during Pre-Delivery Service (PDS).

Customer retention and proper maintenance of vehicles has been a major focus for Toyota. To help remind customers that regular oil changes are essential to the proper maintenance of their vehicle, dealers are required to begin installing a first oil change reminder sticker prior to delivery. By doing this, customers will be reminded to return to your dealership for their first oil change. Your current oil change reminder sticker may be used. (See PDS Check Sheet item 8 of ?Final Inspection & Cleaning.?) A new PDS Check Sheet has been developed for the 2014 model year Corolla. Some check points have been added, expanded or clarified. Bulletins are available for items in bold type.

Some 2014 model year vehicles are equipped with a Smart Key system, which allows the customer to enter and start the vehicle without using a mechanical key. To ensure the system is operating properly, the Smart Key functions (Smart Entry and Smart Start) should be inspected during Pre-Delivery Service (PDS). The following inspection procedure has been developed to confirm the proper operation of the Smart Key system prior to vehicle delivery.

The download and installation process may also need to be performed under other circumstances such as following a head unit replacement or after the customer?s personal settings are erased. The download and installation process requires between 3 and 15 minutes to complete, depending on the file size, cellular connection speed, and other factors.
