Flash: Powertrain Diagnostic And System Improvements This bulletin involves reprogramming the Engine Control Module/Powertrain Control Module (ECM/PCM) with the latest available software. A customer may experience one or more of the following conditions: Unpleasant odor in the vehicle at low speeds and when regeneration is active. Intermittent no crank and no start (68RFE automatic transmission only). Unable to complete ?Fuel Pressure Override? test in the scan tool.In addition, the following software enhancements are also available: Improved fuel filter reminder calibration. Improved regeneration at low speeds. Updated accelerator pedal calibration to reduce hesitation. Calibration changes to reduce turbo inlet temperatures.

USB Charging Port Before replacing this part - this is a charge only USB port intended to charge smart phones and other low power USB devices. To verify proper functionality, turn on the ignition with no cables or devices plugged into the port. Connect a charging cable to the port, then connect the device. If the device receives power, the port is functioning to design. There are some minor compatibility issues with some charging cables including Apple Lightning cables. Washer Fluid Level Sensor Prior to replacing this part due to "Low Washer Fluid" tell tale light on the dash and the washer fluid bottle is full, please perform the this inspection. Inspect the sensor for a fluid coating on the sensor pins. Orange colored rain repellant can cause this fluid build-up. Clean the pins, drain the reservoir, and fill with Mopar approved washer fluid. Check to determine if the issue has been resolved. Continue with repair if necessary. Also, please inform the customer not to use Rain-X in the system to avoid this issue. Service - Four Piece Oil Pan Gasket All Cummins Equipped Vehicles ONLY - The replacement oil pan gasket can be a four piece gasket rather than a single piece gasket. This applies to Cummins 5.9L and 6.7L engines only. Installation: 1. Clean the oil pan T-joints.~ 2. Fill the T-joint between the pan rail/gear housing and pan rail/rear seal retainer with sealant. Use Mopar® Silicone Rubber Adhesive Sealant or equivalent. 3. Apply a 2-mm [0.063-in] bead of Mopar Engine Sealant RTV Silicone Rubber Adhesive, to the oil pan flange.~ 4. The four piece gasket will need to be assembled to make a complete oil pan gasket. 5. Lay the oil pan gasket(s) onto the oil pan flange.~ 6. Ensure the oil pan gasket segment joints are properly aligned. 7. Apply a 2-mm [0.063-in] bead of Mopar Engine Sealant RTV Silicone Rubber Adhesive, to the top of the oil pan gasket.~ 8. Install the oil pan. Starting from the center and working outward, tighten the oil pan bolts to 28 N·m [21 ft. lbs.].

2014 KL 9-Speed service transaxle with 2015 common hardware This 9-speed transaxle must be ordered thru Mopar?s Powertrain Service Center (PSC) for a specific VIN and must be installed in that vehicle or the correct calibration will not load to the Engine Control Module (ECM) and Transmission Control Module (TCM).~ This 9-speed transaxle assembly requires an update to the Engine Control Module AND the Transmission Control Module using WiTech. Failure to complete both updates will result in possible damage and/or incorrect operation of this unit.

RA3/RA4 Radio The MY16 RA3/4 radios are susceptible to randomly set an erroneously BCM or IPC ?U0184 - Loss of Com with Radio? fault. The radio should not be replaced for this issue if the fault is stored, if the code cannot be reproduced and no trouble can be found (radio functions properly). Bumper Step Pad Customer may notice the center section of the step pad is not sitting flat. It will appear raised either left or right of center. Please photograph the condition, measure the gap between the bumper and step pad. Then contact Jim Allie via Cell Phone (248) 736-5349 with this information. We may want to have the whole bumper assembly returned for study. ~ If the dealership is within the Metro Detroit Area, Jim would like to analyze the vehicle in person prior to repair. ~ If the dealership is not close, please take pictures and a detailed description of what is causing the issue including where on the Step Pad the issue is occurring. Radiator If vehicle comes in for transmission fluid leaking from trans-oil cooler fittings on the radiator, please check the following before replacing the radiator/cooler:~ 1. Remove both of the transmission lines from the cooler?s top/bottom flared fittings on the radiator. ~ 2. Loosen the hex nut on the top flared fitting on the radiator tank.~ 3. Torque the top flared fitting to 235 +/- 15 Lb-In.~ 4. Torque hex nut to 100 +/- 10 Lb-In.~ 5. Repeat for bottom flared fitting.~ 6. Reinstall transmission line per normal installation procedures and ensure correct fluid level.~ ~ If vehicle is in need of a new radiator for another reason, check the new radiator for correct torque on the trans-oil cooler fitting per steps 2-5 above.~ ~ If radiator has a yellow mark by the trans-oil cooler fittings the torque does not have to be checked.
