The software update is designed to help improve the performance of Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Forward Emergency Braking (FEB), and Forward Collision Warning (FCW) systems in the affected vehicles. ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this quality action using Service Comm or National Service History ? Open Campaign I.D. SERVICE INFORMATION Diagnostic information in the Electronic Service Manuals (ESM) for the following DTCs may be missing or incorrect: -B2EF0 ? INTERNAL BATTERY (CIRC VOLT BELOW THRESHOLD) -B130C ? TCU (Telematics Control Unit) PAIRING ERROR If one of these DTCs is stored, follow the steps listed below along with the Electronic Service Manual (ESM) to compete the required repairs. DTC B2FE0 ? INTERNAL BATTERY (CIRC VOLT BELOW THRESHOLD): 1. Start the engine and let it idle for 30 minutes (to allow charging of the TCU internal battery). -2018 LEAF only: Put the vehicle in Ready to Drive mode (depress the brake pedal and depress the power [?ignition?] switch) for 30 minutes. 2. Verify the DTC can be erased. 3. If the DTC will not erase, replace the TCU. DTC B130C: 1. Collect all keys, and then re-register them to the vehicle. 2. Verify the DTC can be erased. 3. If the DTC will not erase, replace the TCU. NOTE: The related Electronic Service Manuals (ESM) will be updated at a later date. Service Department Wi-Fi Requirement - Password Protected Beginning with the 2018 MY Rogue, the NissanConnect service has the ability to update its system's firmware through a Wi-Fi connection. A Wi-Fi connection can be made to the vehicle for updating NAVI map data and system software, or using online services, such as Online Search or Premium Traffic. Workshop Wi-Fi network must be configured as WPA2 password-protected to allow connection with the 2018 MY Rogue and future equipped models. For connecting to these vehicles, please confirm with your dealer network administrator to ensure your Wi-Fi is arranged as password-protected. If you need to add password-protected, please update the login credentials on any other workshop equipment connected to the Wi-Fi network. As an example, listed below is instructions on connecting to the Wi-Fi network through the 2018 MY Rogue screen display. 2018 ROGUE; INTELLIGENT KEY REGISTRATION TIPS This bulletin applies to vehicles equipped with Intelligent Key only. SERVICE INFORMATION When replacing or adding an Intelligent Key of an Applied Vehicle: 1. ALWAYS initialize/register the original Intelligent Key(s) BEFORE attempting to initialize/register a new one. 2. Confirm the Intelligent Key is correct for the vehicle being worked on. - The last five digits of the Intelligent Key?s part number is printed on the back behind the mechanical key. If a ?new? Intelligent Key will not initialize/register, go to page 2 to determine if the ?new? Intelligent Key has been previously initialized/registered to another vehicle. NOTE: Once a new Intelligent Key has been initialized/registered to a vehicle, it can be reinitialized/reregistered as many times as needed to the same vehicle.

SERVICE INFORMATION When replacing or adding an Intelligent Key, it is very important to make sure the correct Intelligent Key is selected from the parts department. - A running change was made that will help identify the correct Intelligent Key. - Beginning in late 2017 and early 2018 the last five digits of the Intelligent Key part number is marked on the Intelligent Key under the mechanical key. - See page 2 for location images of this part number addition. NOTE: - A correct Intelligent Key may or may not have the last five digits of the part number as shown on page 2. - The above running change was applied as a ?help? to identify the correct Intelligent Key for a given vehicle, but the actual part number listed in the parts catalog did not change. - Make sure to use the electronic parts catalog (FAST) or equivalent to confirm the correct Intelligent Key for a given vehicle.

2018 ROGUE; NEXT GENERATION NISSANCONNECT OVER THE AIR UPDATE FEATURE SERVICE INFORMATION The next generation NissanConnect now has the ability to update its system?s software through a Wi-Fi connection. These updates can now be applied by the customer, using their home Wi-Fi network, without the vehicle having to return to the dealer. Updates allow the customer to take advantage of: - New features as they become available - Continuous quality and performance improvements In some cases the customer may not have access to a secured WiFi network and will need to return to the dealer to perform any available updates. The Service Procedure in this bulletin contains the instructions to perform updates via a Wi-Fi connection. IMPORTANT: - To update the software by Wi-Fi the vehicle must be within range and connected to a secure Wi-Fi network. - A password protected Wi-Fi network with WPA2 security is required to secure the update download. WARNING: During the update process, the vehicle should be kept in a well-ventilated area to avoid the exposure to Carbon Monoxide. Do not breathe exhaust gases; they contain colorless and odorless carbon monoxide. Carbon Monoxide is dangerous. It can cause unconsciousness or death. NOTE: When diagnosing a NissanConnect issue, always confirm that the latest available software is installed in the AV unit before starting a diagnosis.
