*****Dealer Announcement***** Nissan is committed to delivering the highest levels of product quality and customer satisfaction. In support of this commitment, Nissan is implementing a Lithium-ion Battery Post-Remedy Program for certain Model Year 2019–2022 Nissan LEAF vehicles that were previously remedied under voluntary safety recall campaigns R24B2 and R25C8. As a reminder, campaigns R24B2 and R25C8 addressed a potential risk of battery fire that could occur during Level 3 (CHAdeMO) Quick Charging. The remedy involved a software update designed to improve battery State-of-Charge (SOC) fluctuation detection. In rare cases, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) associated with SOC fluctuation may be detected after the remedy has been performed and the vehicle returned to the customer. To provide additional customer assurance regarding the long-term effectiveness of the remedy, Nissan is offering a Post-Remedy Program. Under this program, if a SOC fluctuation-related DTC is confirmed within twelve (12) months from the date the remedy software update was completed, the customer will be eligible for further support. Upon dealer diagnosis and confirmation of the applicable SOC fluctuation DTC: • Nissan will arrange for Lithium-ion battery replacement free of charge, or • If a replacement battery is not available, Nissan will initiate the process to offer vehicle repurchase at an amount exceeding the Kelley Blue Book (KBB) Private Party value. The above available remedy is available for all MY19-22 LEAFs regardless of mileage and whether the Lithium-Ion Battery Coverage under the New Electric Vehicle Limited Warranty is still in effect. Dealers must follow standard diagnostic procedures to confirm the condition prior to escalation. Once confirmed, Nissan will provide directions on next steps, including coordination of battery replacement or initiation of the repurchase process. *

*****Dealer Announcement***** Nissan is conducting a service campaign on certain specific MY2018-2025 Nissan LEAF vehicles identified in Service Comm and National Service History – Open Campaigns. On affected vehicles, at temperatures below -10°C/14°F, use of the blower motor at full speed can cause the defrost function to operate at a low electrical current and trigger failsafe logic. This may result in reduced defrost performance. Dealers will update the HVAC control software. *****What Dealers Should Do***** 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this service campaign using Service Comm or DBS National Service History – Open Campaigns I.D. P4A17 • New vehicles in dealer inventory can also be identified using DBS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information • Please continue to check newly arriving inventory for campaign applicability. 2. If a retailed vehicle affected by this Campaign ID visits the dealer for service, the dealer should inform the customer about the service campaign and communicate that the updated software is available. 3. Once remedied, dealers should submit the applicable warranty claim for the action performed so it can be closed in Service Comm and release the vehicle to the customer.

The essential tool (part number # J-52982, Figure 1) required to remove the nut staking, is called out as a âCape Chiselâ in the Electronic Service Manual (ESM), and must be used to prevent thread damage to the axle (see Figure 2 on page 2). ï· The Cape Chisel arrived at dealers in December of 2020. ï· Damaged threads, due to improper removal of the stake placed in the nut, will not be covered by warranty. For information on using the Cape Chisel, refer to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM): Section TRANSMISSION & DRIVELINE > FRONT AXLE > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > FRONT DRIVE SHAFT > LH/RH.

Radiator Voluntary Service Campaign ***** Campaign Summary***** Nissan is committed to the safety, security and satisfaction of our customers and their passengers. Nissan will be conducting a voluntary service campaign in North America on certain MY 2019 Nissan LEAF vehicles to replace the radiator and bolt. Due to a manufacturing assembly issue, that has since been corrected, the radiator may have been damaged during vehicle assembly. An upper portion of the radiator tank may be pierced due to the assembly technician using a bolt that was longer than the design specified bolt. If seepage happens, Long Life Coolant (LLC) level may drop below the electric pump inlet resulting in rising temperature and triggering of the protection logic which will gradually cut motor torque. The vehicle may experience an EV warning light ON and Turtle Mode. ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Service Campaign using Service Comm or DBS National Service History â Open Campaigns I.D. PC723. ï· - New vehicles in dealer inventory can be also be identified using DBS (Sales->Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). ï§ - Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information 2. LEAF certified dealers are requested to remedy any affected vehicles in dealer new or preowned inventory to ensure customer satisfaction. 3. Dealers should use NTB20-003 to replace the radiator, o-rings, and bolt. 4. Once remedied, dealers should submit the claim, using the claims coding provided, and release the vehicle.
