Technician will need to measure fender wheel-opening heights, front and rear, to quantify vehicle lean. Fender wheel-opening heights are related to, but distinct from, trim height. The front wheel-opening height is known as P height, and the rear wheel-opening height is known as R height. Adjust and heights that are out of specification. After all adjustments are done, perform a front-end alignment and check headlight aim.

This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that are travelling from Canada to the United States. While in the United States they are unable to receive Turn-by-Turn directions. Due to the existing cellular provider not having roaming agreements in areas outside of Canada to support transmitting of the packet data required for Turn-By-Turn feature to operate. The customer has 3 options while traveling through the United Sates. First if the vehicle is equipped with a navigation radio they can request a "Destination Download" to the vehicle. Second if the customer uses the OnStar RemoteLink app they can send the directions to the vehicle. The third option would be to have the vehicle loaded with a ?500 phone number? The customer will no longer be able to use their Hands Free Calling minutes when the new 500 phone number is loaded. If a customer chooses to restore Hands Free Calling in the future a new phone number will be assigned to the vehicle; previous phone numbers are not available.

14262 - SPECIAL COVERAGE. ON SOME HYBRID 2-MODE (HP2) VEHICLES, THE ACCESSORY POWER MODULE (APM) MAY NOT INITIALIZE WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STARTED IN COLD TEMPERATURES AND THE APM IS COLD. ONCE THE APM WARMS UP, IT WILL INITIALIZE AND PERFORM AS DESIGNED. HOWEVER, DURING THE TIME THAT THE APM IS NOT OPERATIONAL, IT COULD RESULT IN A LOSS OF POWER STEERING ASSIST AND THE BATTERY MAY NOT CHARGE. Technician will inspect and clean the ground wire (normally white wire) connection on the trailer side of the 7-pin connector. Inspect that the wires inside the trailer side connector are clean and securely fastened. If the vehicle's 7-way connector socket terminals are deformed or have excessive wear, it will be necessary to replace the truck side connector from General Motors Customer Care and Aftersales along with the trailer's 7-way connector plug.
