Technician should inspect the left instrument panel for the wire harness being pinched. Technician will need to repair the wire harness and reroute the wire harness.

This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician for a Service Engine Soon light with a Diagnostic Trouble code P0300 set. There may be a rough running engine associated with this concern. If service information diagnostics have been completed and there is still no trouble found, the technician is to inspect for a possible terminal tension concern on the ignition coil power feed for the cause of the rough running engine and or the P0300. For the Service Engine Soon light or traction control lamp concern check the X2 connector of the under hood fuse block for poor pin retention.

This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have the alarm sounding when learning new key fobs after the original key fobs were lost. Technician will open the driver's door and allow the Content Theft Deterrent alarm to activate, which will pulse the horns and exterior lamps for approximately 30 seconds and the alarm will shut off at this time. As long as the driver's door remains open the alarm will not turn back on and the new transmitters can be programmed.

Customer Satisfaction. Certain vehicles, equipped with the 10-speed automatic transmission (RPO MF6), may have a condition in which the transmission manual shaft pin was not seated properly. If the shaft pin were to migrate out of position, the driver may find they cannot shift the vehicle into any gear other than the last one selected. The customer may be unable to return the vehicle back to park, in which case they would be required to engage the parking brake to ensure the vehicle does not roll from its intended position. This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician on how to diagnose and repair vehicles that have a click, rattle or a squeak nose coming from the dash. Technician will use Service Information to locate the Accessory AC and DC Power Control Module located to the right of the steering column. Remove the power inverter module and apply two sided tape to the module bracket to insulate it from the mount. The instrument panel accessory bezel will also need to be removed. Apply flocking tape to the instrument panel accessory bezel retainers. Also the instrument panel extension will need to be removed. Apply foam tape around connectors located under grill to prevent them from rattling on grill. Apply flocking tape to the instrument panel extension retainers and apply a strip of foam tape along the edge of the grill to isolate the grill from the dash.
