Some 2021 F-150 vehicles may exhibit an inoperative camera and diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) C1001:01 in the Sync Module (APIM), B115E:15 and/or B115E:31 in the Image Processing Module A (IPMA). This may be due to a loose coaxial cable or circuit connection. If only APIM DTC C1001:01 is present, verify connections between the IPMA and the APIM. If IPMA DTCs B115E:15 and/or B115E:31 are also present, verify connections between the IPMA and the affected camera(s). Refer to cell 145 of the online wiring diagram to identify affected connections. If an issue is found with any coaxial cable, the coaxial cable (10E929) can be serviced individually instead of the entire harness. If all connections are secure, continue with diagnostics in Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 413-13B. For claiming, use causal part number 10E929.

Some 2021 Mustang Mach-E/F-150 vehicles may exhibit a Reverse Brake Assist Unavailable message displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) with missing active guide lines in the reverse camera display. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U0415:86 may also be present in the IPMA. This may be due to a network interruption during module programming and/or when a module was disconnected which can cause the steering center find to be reset and various features to become disabled. The steering center find can be relearned by driving the vehicle for approximately 5 minutes, above 18 mph (30 km/h) and with no steering wheel input for a few seconds. When steering center is found, the Reverse Brake Assist Unavailable message should clear. If the active guide lines are missing, perform the IPMA camera alignment using Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS).

Some 2021 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 5.0L engine may exhibit a no start/no powertrain control module (PCM) communication condition if the oil level is approximately 1 or more quarts low and the oil life is at/or less than 20%. This may be due to various parameters within the PCM. Inform the customer that Ford is developing a software update to prevent this condition that is expected by the end of May 2021 and a follow-up appointment should be scheduled for a repair. In the interim, PCM functionality can be restored by going to: PTS Home Page > Rotunda > Diagnostic Tool Support > Download Software > 2021 F150 5.0L PCM Reset App. Follow the instructions included with the Zip file.
