Video Routing Module (VRM) Enhancements For Rear Seat Entertainment System This bulletin involves updating the VRM software level to 2114.12. Customers may experience one or more of the following: Black screen on Video Routing Module (VRM)/Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE) displays. One or both of the rear screens are not working after rear display replacement.If the rear display is replaced and it does not function, confirm that the VRM software is up to date. RSE remote control does not pair. When playing a video from a USB stick the video does not resume where it left off after an ignition cycle(2017-19 MY Only). Video Screens do not turn on(2017-18 MY Only). Radio Uconnect theater button does not work(2017-18 MY Only). USB playback is choppy(2017 MY Only). The video system resets or does not function(2017 MY Only). The remote pairing screen will time out and inform customer the remote(s) have not been paired(2017 MY Only). Remotes frequently do not pair(2017 MY Only). Occasional reset(2017 MY Only). Rear screens can be accidently controlled from the radio outside of the parental control feature(2017 MY Only). Flash: Battery Pack Control Module (BPCM) Diagnostic and System Updates This bulletin involves updating the BPCM with the latest available software. Customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation, the technician may notice one or more of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) have been set: P0AA1-00 - Hybrid/Ev Battery Positive Contactor ?A? Stuck Closed. P0AA4-00 - Hybrid Battery Negative Contactor Circuit Stuck Closed. P0B3C-00 - Hybrid-Ev Battery Voltage Sense 1 Circuit Performance. P0B41-00 - Hybrid-Ev Battery Voltage Sense 2 Circuit Performance. P0B46-00 - Hybrid-Ev Battery Voltage Sense 3 Circuit Performance P0B4B-00 - Hybrid-Ev Battery Voltage Sense 4 Circuit Performance. P0B50-00 - Hybrid/Ev Battery Voltage Sense 5 Circuit Performance. All new replacements packs will receive this software update.

Flash: Hybrid Control Processor (HCP) and Auxiliary Hybrid Control Processor (AHCP) Updates This bulletin involves reprogramming the HCP and AHCP or also known as Power Inverter Module (PIM) with the latest available software. Technicians and/or customers may report the vehicle will not pass a state smog check due to permanent fault codes which will not clear. As a result, the vehicles are not eligible to be registered in certain states. Customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation the technician may find the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) have been set: P0513 - Invalid Skim Key. U151A-87 - Hybrid Control Processor Secret Code-Missing Message. Customers may also experience the following symptom/conditions:Vehicle does not start when pushing ignition switch with DTC P0513 and U151-A87 (stored or active). Scheduled charging start/end does not align with displayed time (ex: 12:05pm end time on radio, but charging ends at 12:06pm). Scheduled charging does not start following a power outage. Scheduled Cabin Conditioning (SCC) feature will not function properly if they schedule the departure time in between 50 mins to 480 mins at extreme cold ambient temps (below -24°c (-11°f)). ?Charge Now? soft button does not always work. The vehicle will get a rough engine spin-down, and then ?Service Charging System? warning and shutdown if the vehicle is quickly re-cranked after the initial key crank. Unable to pass a smog check for certain states that require no DTCs present (stored or active). Vehicle shutdown (MIL set) if the acceleration pedal is 100% on ice. Vehicle may not have a successful 2nd remote start if customer happens to request it immediately after 1st remote start without letting the vehicle sleep while at low High Voltage (HV) battery State of Charge (SOC).
