Infrequent resets can occur in a high load condition such as long routes, driving against a route or rerouting, Bluetooth streaming, and start up when Bluetooth or USB is syncing is considered a normal operating condition. Replacing the radio for these infrequent instances will not repair these concerns. If published Service Information diagnostics do not lead to a diagnosis and the concern is happening on more than just the very rare occasions, retrieve the radio end model part number using Global Diagnostic System 2 or from the radio and contact the General Motors Technical Assistance Center for further diagnostic assistance.

This concern could be related to an open in circuit 6386 at the x1115 connector. Cavity 34 or 2 of the dual battery control module may be open on these circuits and repair as needed. The negative battery connections at the auxiliary battery should be checked along with using the GR8 battery tester to test the auxiliary battery with the cables disconnected. Check the integrity of the X4 connector at the X50D battery fuse block and make sure the F4UB 175 amp fuse is tight in the X50D battery fuse block.

Pair the iPhone to the system then enter the Bluetooth settings menu, select the ?i? icon next to the vehicle name in the device and enable show notifications. The text messaging feature will be available on the next ignition cycle. However with iPhones text messages cannot be responded to when using the infotainment system, they can only be received. For android devices pair the phone to the system during the pairing process the phone will ask you to allow the vehicle to access the device contacts. A second question will pop up on the device asking to allow the vehicle to access the message access profile. Both have to be allowed for the text messaging feature to work.

Infrequent resets can occur in a high load condition such as long routes, driving against a route or rerouting, Bluetooth streaming, and start up when Bluetooth or USB is syncing is considered a normal operating condition. Replacing the radio for these infrequent instances will not repair these concerns. If published Service Information diagnostics do not lead to a diagnosis and the concern is happening on more than just the very rare occasions, retrieve the radio end model part number using Global Diagnostic System 2 or from the radio and contact the General Motors Technical Assistance Center for further diagnostic assistance.

This Preliminary Information communication advises the technician of a customer concern where the heated seat indicator light is not functioning or the heated seats are not up to operating temperature during a remote vehicle start event. This is normal operation of the heated seat during a remote vehicle start event. The electronic climate control module is not in a complete wake up state during a remote vehicle start mode and will not enable the light emitting diode. After a cold soak below 32 degrees Fahrenheit the seat will not get hot in the 10 minutes or less of the remote vehicle start mode. This is due to the fact that the heat element is not in direct contract with the seat surface while the seat is unoccupied and the foam below the heater is full cold insulating air which takes time to heat up. Technician is to communicate to the customer this condition is a normal operating characteristic of their vehicle. It will not impact the designed performance or reliability of the vehicle. Please share this information with the customer, including a copy of this message.
