After the power has been removed for five minutes, if the OnStar system is working release the vehicle. Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) Illuminated - DTC P1AE6 Set Important: Stable battery voltage is critical during programming. Any fluctuation, spiking, over voltage or loss of voltage will interrupt programming. Install the EL-49642 SPS Programming Support Tool to maintain system voltage. If not available, connect a fully charged 12 V jumper or booster pack disconnected from the AC voltage supply. DO NOTconnect a battery charger. Refer to Hybrid Powertrain Control Module 2 Programming and Setup in SI.

Information on Chassis Control Module (CCM) Receives Invalid Data and Sets DTC U0422 The Technician may find DTCs U0422 set. The Technician may also find the following DTCs set. U1534 U1538 Information Based on analysis with the BCM team, during vehicle startup (on occasion) the PEPS module arbitration along with high bus traffic leads to the BCM setting the door open switch virtual device availability (VDA) to unavailable. The BCM does not update the VDA back to Available until the door switch changes state (this signal is event based as opposed to periodic). The ICCM sets the U0422 DTC after 1 second of either the door ajar VDA or door open VDA being unavailable. Correction Ignore CCM U0422 DTC (no service necessary) unless it is a current/active code or is accompanied by associated BCM faults U1534 or U1538.

Door Trim Panel Gap Along Top After Front or Rear Trim Panel Installation Some customers or technicians may comment on seeing a gap between the top pad trim (1) and support panel (2) on a front or rear door trim panel. The condition is most common after the trim panel has been installed during a repair The cause of the condition may be that during a repair, the door pad top trim piece can become unseated when the door pad is pulled off of the clips that secure the door trim panel to the door. Do not replace the door panel for this condition. The gap can be eliminated by firmly pressing down and fully seating the top trim on the door panel.
