After the data is recorded it should be reviewed to determine the root cause of the concern. If a repair attempt made the concern better but not eliminated or had no affect at all, and are requesting assistance from General Motors Technical Assistance Center record another Pico file and save it to the computer. After the new Pico Oscilloscope data has been saved email the data to General Motors Technical Assistance Center in the subject line include “Vibration” “Business Associate Code” and the last 8 of the Vehicle Identification Number.

If the customer exits the vehicle with the fob in their possession while the engine is running and the shifter is left in park, the engine will shut off after 2.5 hours. If the customer is sitting in the vehicle with the engine running and the fob is in the vehicle, the Passive Entry Passive Start system will reach out and look for the fob after 2.5 hours. If the fob is located, the timer will reset an additional 2.5 hours.

THIS IS A NORMAL CONDITION DUE TO THE CALCULATION TOLERANCES BEING DIFFERENT FOR THE TWO DRIVER VIEWING ANGLES FOR THE ANALOG SPEEDOMETER; IT MAY ALSO APPEAR TO INCREASE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BOTH DISPLAYS. NO PART REPLACEMENT IS REQUIRED AS THIS IS A NORMAL OPERATING CHARACTERISTIC OF THE VEHICLE. FOR CTS VEHICLES BUILT BETWEEN APRIL AND JUNE OF 2011 OR THE 2013 ATS, SRX, XTS BUILT BEFORE AUGUST 29 2012 MAY HAVE A 3 MILES PER HOUR OR MORE VARIATION. THE TECHNICIAN IS TO REPLACE THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER FOR THIS CONCERN.
