Customers may state that the alarm system (DWA) is not active after locking their unoccupied vehicle. Depending on the vehicleâÂÂs equipment and settings, no acoustic or optical confirmation (folding the mirrors/blinking confirmation) is noticeable. Additionally, the red anti-theft alarm LED in the interior mirror does not briefly flash every 2 seconds, indicating the alarm is armed.

The 3G network in the US has been shut down. This means that only the 4G network will be available. In the 4G network, voice calls will be transferred via the Voice over LTE (VoLTE) function. For this purpose, the SIM card must perform an IMS registration in the mobile communication network. Due to a production error, the telematics control units were delivered without an IMS configuration. The Connected Drive voice services (Concierge Call, BMW Assistance, and emergency call voice) can no longer be used regionally in the US in vehicle with telematics control units ATM-1 and TCB-4G. Voice control of the vehicle and all other telephone (paired mobile devices) functions are not affected. Emergency call location data is unaffected.

During assembly, the cover of the fresh air intake was not fully seated when the screws were tightened. This cover can then leak condensation out through the existing gap.

NOISES FROM THE FUEL TANK AT IDLE: All vehicles except the F48 (X1): While driving slowly with low RPM or while idling a faint knocking or fluttering noise can be heard from inside the fuel tank with a low fuel level (approximately less than 2 gallons). The customer may describe this noise as a "helicopter noise" from the rear of the vehicle. ROUGH RUNNING IMMEDIATELY AFTER A COLD START: Immediately after a cold start the engine may run roughly during the catalyst heating period. Depending on the severity of this situation the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) can be illuminated and the following fault code may be set: Fault code Control module Fault code text 151001 DME Ignition angle adjustment while idle speed cold start: ignition angle early In some circumstances if the vehicle is switched into a drive gear (R or D) when the RPM are low the engine may switch off. AUTOMATED ACTIVATION OF NAVIGATION SYSTEM DURING PDI/QC1: This Service Information Bulletin (Revision 2) replaces SI B65 22 14 dated October 2015. The INITIAL NAV enabling code no longer needs to be pre-ordered through the Parts department! When the vehicle is connected to the diagnostic system ISTA to perform PDI/QC1 the step to activate the navigation system (part of Delete Transport Mode) will automatically request the INITIAL NAV enabling code (VIN-specific) without pre-ordering the enabling code. This enabling code will be automatically delivered through ISTA and it then activates the navigation system.

CHECK CONTROL MESSAGES FOR BRAKE SUSPENSION AND AIR BAG SYSTEM MALFUNCTION: Multiple check control messages (CCM) can display for brake suspension and air bag system malfunction. SAFETY BELT WARNING GONG SOUNDS AFTER UNBUCKLING WHILE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY. After a vehicle has been programmed to an I-level greater than 19-11-5xx and lower than I-level 20-03-530; the safety belt (aka seat belt) acoustic warning sounds when in Park (engine running) and the safety belt is unbuckled. The chime/gong lasts for up to 1 minute 40 seconds. The customer only expects the acoustic warning when the vehicle is moving and the safety belt is not buckled. The acoustic warning can occur when the seat is occupied and the safety belt buckle is opened on the driver's or passenger's side. Software in the ACSM4 Control Unit.

Low Washer Fluid Warning Light is illuminated when the Washer Fluid Tank is Full : The low washer fluid warning is illuminated even though the washer fluid reservoir is full. There are no faults stored in the system for the washer fluid level switch. A non-approved washer fluid was used that is silicone-based. Silicone-based fluids are not compatible with the contactless capacitive level sensor. Fluids that contain a silicone additive are normally colored other than blue.

EXTERIOR MIRRORS GO TO RANDOM POSITION. Mirror(s) is (are) exhibiting one of two distinct behaviors: A. Passenger side mirror does not adjust itself out of the automatic parking function back into previous position when switching from reverse back to drive. (Only apples to vehicles produced up until March 2016) B. One or both mirrors adjust themselves to a seemingly random position. This occurs usually when the vehicle is unlocked after sleep mode has been active. The mirror will go to a position usually downward and inward (default position from factory). Note: Causes are separate and unrelated. Situation A- Mirror motor electronics module software version. (Only apples to vehicles produced up until March 2016) Situation B- Unintentional actuation of seat-mounted memory switch (the switch on this vehicle is mounted in a position where a customer can inadvertently press it when entering or exiting the vehicle), or the Personal Profiles settings have not been set to the customer's preferred mirror and/or seat positions.
