Dealer Message: Parts Hotwire. In an effort to assist dealers in performing campaign 19TC04 on a customer?s first visit, Toyota is deploying stock of part number 04009-40131 (PIPE KIT, OIL COOLER) to all dealers. Dealers will receive enough parts to repair two days-worth of their peak demand based on the quantity of vehicles registered in the dealer?s area. Peak demand has been estimated based on historical campaign demand. Dealers should continue to place orders following the CPOR process for this campaign to replenish their stock. For additional details on the CPOR process, refer to the MAC report. Parts are stocked at the Parts Distribution Centers and are available in two days from order placement. NOTE: All dealers will receive a minimum of 1 piece.

Cases that are determined to be a ?leak? should be repaired accordingly and will be covered under warranty if applicable. TT: Safety Connect is a vehicle option which requires a subscription fee for the system to be active after the initial trial period. Once the subscription has expired the DCM (Telematics Transceiver) will be in an inactive state. In some instances, a DCM may need to be replaced even though the customer is not using the service. If registration of the replacement DCM part is attempted using the Techstream utility after the account has become inactive, the registration will fail, and messages such as ?ATX webserver is Down? or ?ATX error? will be displayed.

The decal comes in two sizes (2.8 in. x 8 in. and 4 in. x 8 in.) for small and large hoods and will be applied to the top of PPF for all series at TLS accessory installation facilities. TT: The current engine active test ?Control the Injection Mode? is not operating as desired when controlling the direct injectors manually on 2GR-FKS engines. When direct injection is started and then stopped using the active test, current ECU logic does not turn off the direct injectors and can cause DTCs P017200, P017500 and P0160300. To avoid this condition, technicians should raise engine RPM when changing back and forth between the Direct Injection and Port Injection active tests. Use the recommended procedure below to avoid this concern while testing injection mode of FKS equipped vehicles. NOTE: If the active test is used multiple times without using this procedure to raise engine RPM, it may be necessary to reset learning values for fuel trim and Air to Fuel ratio before returning vehicle to customer.

TSB: Pre-Delivery Service (PDS) is a critical step in satisfying our new car customers. Customer feedback indicates the following areas deserve special attention when performing PDS: ? Careful inspection for paint chips/scratches and body dents/dings. ? Proper operation of electrical accessories (including interior light, clock, and radio reset). ? Interior cleanliness. ? Proper function of mechanical systems. Customer retention and proper maintenance of vehicles are and have always been a major focus for Toyota. To help remind customers that regular service is essential to the proper maintenance of the vehicle, dealers are required to install a service reminder sticker before delivery to the customer. By doing this, customers will be reminded to return to your dealership for their service. Your current service reminder sticker may be used. (See PDS Check Sheet item 8 of ?Final Inspection and Cleaning.?) A new PDS Check Sheet has been developed for the 2019 model year Highlander and Highlander HV. Some check points have been added, expanded, or clarified. Bulletins are available for items in bold.

TT: Safety Connect is a vehicle option which requires a subscription fee for the system to be active. The trail period of service is provided upon the vehicle purchase. Once the subscription has expired the DCM (Telematics Transceiver) will be in an inactive state. In some instances, a DCM may need to be replaced even though the customer is not using the service. If registration of the replacement DCM part is attempted using the Techstream utility after the account has become inactive, the registration will fail, and messages such as "ATX webserver is Down" or "ATX error" will be displayed.

TSB: REVISION NOTICE May 08, 2018 Rev1: * Applicability has been updated to include 2019 model year Toyota vehicles. Any previous printed versions of this bulletin should be discarded. Hybrid vehicles are equipped with two types of batteries: * Hybrid Vehicle (HV) battery - Auxiliary (12V) battery If the hybrid vehicle is put into storage, the State-Of-Charge (SOC) of its HV battery and auxiliary battery will gradually decrease. To prevent the auxiliary battery from becoming discharged during storage, proper maintenance is necessary. Perform the following maintenance service for the HV battery and auxiliary battery. NOTE - BEFORE disconnecting the auxiliary battery, confirm the shift lever is in the "P" position and apply the parking brake completely. The shift lever CANNOT be shifted from the "P" position with the auxiliary battery disconnected. * If the negative (-) terminal of the auxiliary battery is reconnected, even if the power button is in the Start mode, the hybrid system may NOT start. In this case, push the Power button and select the Start mode again to start the hybrid system (the Ready light is ON). If the hybrid system still does NOT start (the Ready light is OFF), refer to the Repair Manual.
