It is critical to review the instructions for this new process BEFORE attempting to get a passcode in the new system.

TT: Safety Connect is a vehicle option which requires a subscription fee for the system to be active. The trail period of service is provided upon the vehicle purchase. Once the subscription has expired the DCM (Telematics Transceiver) will be in an inactive state. In some instances, a DCM may need to be replaced even though the customer is not using the service. If registration of the replacement DCM part is attempted using the Techstream utility after the account has become inactive, the registration will fail, and messages such as "ATX webserver is Down" or "ATX error" will be displayed.

In the event that a Toyota vehicle becomes submerged in water, many components may be physically damaged. Electrical and electronic components, including wiring harnesses, are particularly susceptible to corrosion and subsequent malfunction. Although any flooding can be damaging, salt water flooding elevates the potential for abnormal conditions and may increase risks due to its highly corrosive and conductive nature. Salt residue also continues to corrode and remain conductive even after a vehicle dries. This bulletin is intended to assist with safe handling and inspection of flood damaged vehicles and to provide basic guidance on likely needed repairs.

T-TT: Vehicles may experience various drivability concerns. Upon diagnosis, technicians commonly find no or low fuel pressure as well as a variety of DTCs (Commonly P1603, P1604, P1605, P0171, P0300, P0302, P0304, U0100). Technicians find that the cause this condition is corrosion and water in the A43 ECM connector (Fig 1). In several cases, it was found that the source of water was from aftermarket windshields with poorly sealed or damaged deicer harnesses (Fig 2). Water enters the deicer harness and is wicked through the engine room main harness, eventually collecting in the ECM connector.

This bulletin details the Techstream ECU flash reprogramming process and outlines use of the Technical Information System (TIS) and the Calibration Update Wizard (CUW). Flash calibration updates can only be applied to the vehicle/ECU combination for which they are intended. ECUs have internal security that will not allow them to be programmed with another ECU's information.

TT: Front Brake Vibration Key Points: * Issue can occur at any time if improper torque is applied on lug nuts * Over time, even one lug nut over or under torqued, can cause a vibration issue * When lug nuts are over torqued, this causes the rotor to have a runout out condition which can lead to brake vibration concerns * Brake vibration issues can occur at parking lot to highway speeds * Brake vibration issues can occur at light to moderate braking * Tightening lug nuts in a star pattern method during the torqueing process will assure that even/equal pressure is applied across the rotor hub surface * Torque sticks/wrenches should be used to apply accurate torque values when tightening * Do Not use impact guns/ratchets to completely run lug nuts up to the wheel surface
