Dealer Letter: The subject vehicles contain a brake reservoir which has two separate chambers connected by a filter. This filter may become clogged, resulting in illumination of the Brake ( ) warning lamp due to low fluid level in one of the reservoir chambers. Under certain conditions this could cause additional warning lamps shown below to illuminate and front brake assist could be temporarily lost. Please note: In limited operating conditions, a warning buzzer may also sound. A new brake reservoir assembly has been designed to prevent this condition from occurring.

Flash calibration updates can only be applied to the vehicle/ECU combination for which they are intended. Prior to installing remanufactured U660 and U760 transaxles, it is necessary to remove the lower oil cooler tube union from the original transaxle case and install it into the reman unit. The vehicle will not start or ready0on and the steering wheel lock is engaged so that the steering wheel may only be turned very little from side-to-side. If the operator attempts to ready-on or start the vehicle while there is tension on the steering lock actuator, it will not be able to fully disengage when the "ENGINE START STOP" or "POWER" switch is depressed. This condition will cause the "ENGINE START STOP" or "POWER" switch's LED to flash green and the vehicle will fail to ready-on or start.

If a puncture occurs, it may be possible to repair the tire and return it to service. Beginning in 1998, Toyota introduced side airbags as optional equipment. Toyota does NOT recommend replacement of original seat covers with non-Toyota leather or other seat cover materials on vehicles due to the following: Seat covers NOT recommended by Toyota may affect side airbag performance, in general or in part, during an accident. Modifications that negatively affect side airbag performance can result in severe occupant injuries. Seat covers are an integral part of this safety system. Replacing fabric seat covers with non-Toyota leather or other seat cover materials may compromise the effectiveness of this safety system. The design of the seat is complex, integrating safety and strength with comfort and luxury. Toyota strongly discourages modifying original equipment seats that have optional side airbags. Additionally, Toyota strongly advises against the installation or use of aftermarket seat covers, which could impair the performance of the side airbags in the event of an accident.
