While the map update process is user-friendly, we ask that retailers assist customers with the map update procedure when requested as a courtesy, an opportunity to build retailer loyalty, enhance customer satisfaction and in keeping with the Love Promise. Retailers may also want to install this map update on any certified pre-owned or pre-owned vehicles in their inventory on their own. Previously, these body plugs were placed in the glove box during vehicle assembly and installed by Retailers as part of the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) procedure. Recently, the use of ?soft? tie-down straps for vehicle securement during transport has replaced the tie-down chains (no longer a SOA-accepted securement method) used previously. For this reason, the access hole body plugs are now installed during vehicle assembly.

When attempting to complete the STARLINK Telematics subscription process, an Error Code 202 and/or 204 may occur preventing the process from completing successfully. These codes both relate to the multi-stage CommCheck process which introduces the Data Communications Module (DCM) to the AT&T cellular network the Telematics system operates on. The Telematics Service Provider (TSP) cannot communicate with the vehicle (DCM) until the CommCheck completes successfully.
