DTC B12A3-72 FOR FUEL PUMP RELAY STUCK OPEN SERVICE INFORMATION DTC B12A3-72 (Fuel Pump Relay Stuck Open) may be stored when the IPDM monitor circuit internally sees 0V to ground at pin #46. This is caused by an internal short to ground in the IPDM or one of the IPDM fuses listed below is open. If B12A3-72 is current or reoccurs after erasing DTCs, inspect the model specific fuse first. If the fuse is not open replace the IPDM. ï· Altima â Fuse # 58 (page 2) ï· Kicks â Fuse # 54 (page 3) ï· Versa â Fuse # 61 (page 4) For additional IPDM diagnostic information refer to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM): Section ELECTRICAL & POWER CONTROL > POWER CONTROL SYSTEM > IPDM E/R. Front Turn Signal Lamp Dealer Inventory Dealer Announcement Nissan is conducting a dealer inventory quality action to inspect both front turn signal lamp bulbs and, if necessary, replace them on 3,251 specific model year 2020 -2021 Versa vehicles identified in Service Comm. Due to a supplier concern that has since been resolved, the installed front turn signal bulbs may have durability issues that could cause them to not perform to specification. Affected vehicles are not subject to stop sale and are either currently in dealer inventory or assigned and in transit to the dealer. What Dealers Should Do PLEASE FOLLOW THE ATTACHED INSPECTION INSTRUCTIONS: 1.Verify if vehicles are affected by this quality action using Service Comm or DBS National Service History â Open Campaigns I.D. PM965 â¢New vehicles in dealer inventory can also be identified using DBS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). ï§Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information â¢Please continue to check newly arriving inventory for campaign applicability. 2.Use the attached procedure to inspect the turn signal lamp bulb and, if necessary, remedy any vehicles affected by this quality action. â¢Parts may be ordered via normal parts ordering system beginning January 04, 2020. 3.The service department should submit the applicable warranty claim for the action performed so it can be closed on Service Comm. Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) Replacement Dealer Announcement: Nissan is conducting a dealer inventory quality action to replace the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) on nine (9) 2020 Nissan Kicks vehicles and two (2) 2020 Versa vehicles identified in Service Comm. Due to a manufacturing issue that has since been corrected, Nissan has determined that the installed CVT in the subject vehicles may not meet specification. Affected vehicles are subject to stop sale and are either currently in dealer inventory or assigned and in transit to the dealer. What Dealers Should Do: PLEASE FOLLOW THE ATTACHED REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS: 1.Verify if vehicles are affected by this quality action using Service Comm or DBS National Service History â Open Campaign I.D. PM963 â¢New vehicles in dealer inventory can also be identified by using DBS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). ï§Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information â¢Some vehicles may still be in transit. ACTION 1. Disconnect the main power harness connector from the IPDM (E16 for Altima and E42 for Kicks and Versa Sedan). ï· - See Figure 1, Figure 2 and Figure 3 on the next page for IPDM main power harness connector locations. 2. Wait at least 20 seconds. 3. Reconnect the main power harness connector to the IPDM. 4. Confirm that the DTC is now past, and then erase the DTC. If the DTC will not erase, refer to the Electronic Service Manual for additional diagnostic information.
