PREVENT FRONT AXLE THREAD DAMAGE DURING NUT REMOVAL SERVICE INFORMATION If an Applied Vehicle needs to have a front axle nut removed, for any reason, the staking of the nut into the axle keyway must first be removed. The essential tool (part number # J-52982, Figure 1) required to remove the nut staking, is called out as a “Cape Chisel” in the Electronic Service Manual (ESM), and must be used to prevent thread damage to the axle (see Figure 2 on page 2).  The Cape Chisel arrived at dealers in December of 2020.  Damaged threads, due to improper removal of the stake placed in the nut, will not be covered by warranty. For information on using the Cape Chisel, refer to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM): Section TRANSMISSION & DRIVELINE > FRONT AXLE > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > FRONT DRIVE SHAFT > LH/RH.

2021 ROGUE; REMOTE ENGINE START SERVICE INFORMATION To use the Remote Engine Start (RES) feature, the following conditions must be met:  The RES has been turned ON using C-III plus.  Enabling/disabling RES is no longer available as a combination meter selection.  The ignition is OFF.  The shift selector is in the “P” (park) position.  The hood, doors, and hatch are closed.  The hazard warning lights are OFF.  The Intelligent Key is within 197 feet (60 m) of the vehicle, and there are no obstructions between the Intelligent Key and the vehicle.  The vehicle is already locked (this must be done using the Intelligent Key or the request switch on the exterior door handle).

Due to a design issue, that has since been corrected, Nissan has determined that the break-in process was not properly completed on the subject vehicles. As a result, customers may experience a vibration felt through the floorboard while making a ninety (90) degree turn.
