AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING WARNING LIGHT BLINKING APPLIED SYSTEMS: Vehicles equipped with a lane camera (see Figure 1) SERVICE INFORMATION If the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) warning light or is blinking (but not illuminated steadily) or the customer states it is blinking, and there are no related DTCs, inspect the windshield. A blinking AEB warning light may occur under the following conditions: When contamination or foreign material adhere to the lane camera viewing window on the windshield. When driving while it is snowing or when frost forms on the lane camera viewing window on the windshield. When the lane camera viewing window on the windshield is temporarily fogged up. CONSULT has been updated to allow DTC B2E01-96 for “Internal battery” to be cleared in the TCU. SERVICE INFORMATION The Telematics Control Unit (TCU) has the ability to send an automatic collision notification when the vehicle is involved in an accident. Once an automatic collision notification is performed, the function becomes disabled and the TCU must be reset to re-enable the automatic collision notification function. Some models will store DTC B2E1B-97 for “Automatic eCAll locked” as “CURRENT” when this function is disabled. This bulletin describes how to reset the TCU after an automatic collision notification has been performed. For models with B2E1B-97 for “Automatic eCAll locked” set as “CURRENT”, complete the SERVICE PROCEDURE starting on page 2, and then erase DTCs after confirming the TCU condition is “UNLOCK”.

12 VOLT BATTERY TESTING FOR IN-SERVICE VEHICLES SERVICE INFORMATION The following Service Information lists NNA procedural recommendations for establishing good connections while performing 12V battery testing. These recommendations are expected to promote uniformity during the connection process, therefore reducing the number of incorrect âTest with DCAâ and âReplaceâ results. HINT: If 12 volt batteries are allowed to discharge for a prolonged period of time, battery life may be drastically reduced. This condition may lead to premature battery replacement and customer dissatisfaction. HINT: The customer may report the following if this issue should occur: ï· The seat track seems loose when braking or accelerating. ï· The seat track is difficult to lock in place. ï· After adjusting the seat track, it shifts/locks into place while driving. INFOTAINMENT CONTROL UNIT REPLACEMENT SERVICE INFORMATION SERVICE INFORMATION When replacing an AV Control Unit (Infotainment Control Unit), for any reason, all three steps below are required. If all three steps are not completed on vehicles equipped with a TCU, the Over The Air (OTA) updates will not work, and other functions may be inoperative. HINT: Not all APPLIED VEHICLES are OTA-update capable. 1. Reprogram the AV control unit. 2. Configure the AV control unit. 3. Write the VIN to the AV control unit. IMPORTANT: Steps 1-3 above must be performed in the sequential order shown below.

DRIVE SHAFT BOOT SERVICE INFORMATION SERVICE INFORMATION If a Drive Shaft (Axle Shaft) Boot on an APPLIED VEHICLE is found to be leaking grease, AND There is no abnormal noise or obvious CV Joint risk due to water intrusion and/or complete grease loss, check for REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (CV Joint Boot Kit) availability. ï· If there is a REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (CV Joint Boot Kit) available for the vehicle being repaired, do NOT replace the axle. Install a new boot kit following the procedure in the ESM. o Refer to the ESM: TRANSMISSION & DRIVELINE > FRONT AXLE > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > FRONT DRIVE SHAFT BOOT o If the complete axle (drive shaft) is replaced when only a new boot is required, the over-repair may be charged back to the dealer. ï· If there is NOT a REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (CV Joint Boot Kit) available for the vehicle being repaired, refer to the ESM for further diagnostic information. IMPORTANT: When servicing vehicles with staked axle nuts, refer to NTB21-013 to prevent Drive Shaft thread damage.

DRIVERâS POWER SEAT RECLINES UNINTENTIONALLY SERVICE INFORMATION Refer to the information in this bulletin when diagnosing a customer concern of the driverâs (LH) power seat recline position changing unintentionally on a 2022-2023 Frontier. Not all customer concerns mean there are broken or malfunctioning parts. Use this information to help explain normal operation to the vehicle owner. The driverâs seat recline switch (Figure 1) can be bumped when exiting/entering the vehicle (Figure 2), resulting in unintentional recline of the seat upper. Do not replace the side finisher/switch unless visible damage to the seat switch is present.
