AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING WARNING LIGHT BLINKING APPLIED SYSTEMS: Vehicles equipped with a lane camera (see Figure 1) SERVICE INFORMATION If the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) warning light or is blinking (but not illuminated steadily) or the customer states it is blinking, and there are no related DTCs, inspect the windshield. A blinking AEB warning light may occur under the following conditions: When contamination or foreign material adhere to the lane camera viewing window on the windshield. When driving while it is snowing or when frost forms on the lane camera viewing window on the windshield. When the lane camera viewing window on the windshield is temporarily fogged up. SERVICE INFORMATION The Telematics Control Unit (TCU) has the ability to send an automatic collision notification when the vehicle is involved in an accident. Once an automatic collision notification is performed, the function becomes disabled and the TCU must be reset to re-enable the automatic collision notification function. Some models will store DTC B2E1B-97 for “Automatic eCAll locked” as “CURRENT” when this function is disabled. This bulletin describes how to reset the TCU after an automatic collision notification has been performed. For models with B2E1B-97 for “Automatic eCAll locked” set as “CURRENT”, complete the SERVICE PROCEDURE starting on page 2, and then erase DTCs after confirming the TCU condition is “UNLOCK”.

This service will be performed at no charge to the customer for parts or labor. IDENTIFICATION NUMBER Nissan has assigned identification number PC982 to this campaign. This number must appear on all communication and documentation of any nature dealing with this campaign. DEALER RESPONSIBILITY Dealers are to repair vehicles falling within range of this campaign that enter the service department. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties, vehicles presented by transient (tourists) owners, and vehicles in a dealerâs inventory.

These recommendations are expected to promote uniformity during the connection process, therefore reducing the number of incorrect âTest with DCAâ and âReplaceâ results. HINT: If 12 volt batteries are allowed to discharge for a prolonged period of time, battery life may be drastically reduced. This condition may lead to premature battery replacement and customer dissatisfaction. In addition, under service campaign (PC975), Nissan will provide owners of certain 2022-2023 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab SV Long Wheel Base vehicles with a supplement to be placed with the Ownerâs Manual (Note: these hitches were previously labeled and these owners do NOT require a warning label for the trailer hitch). The information contained in the Ownerâs Manual supplement revises or adds to the âTowing a Trailerâ, Towing Safetyâ, âTrailer hitchâ and âClass IV hitchâ sections of the âTechnical and consumer informationâ section of the Ownerâs Manual. The supplement and the label will remind current and future operators that the trailer hitch should not be removed or replaced. *****What Dealers Should Do***** 1. MANUAL SEAT TRACK ADJUSTMENT DOES NOT LOCK INTO POSITION IF YOU CONFIRM The seat track latching pawls for a front seat (left or right) are not synchronized. ï· The inboard track latches, but the outboard track does not latch unless the seat is pushed/pulled into position. HINT: The customer may report the following if this issue should occur: ï· The seat track seems loose when braking or accelerating. ï· The seat track is difficult to lock in place. ï· After adjusting the seat track, it shifts/locks into place while driving. With an active NissanConnect® Services subscription, the TCU communicates with the Nissan Data Center to provide various security and convenience services. 1. Use the vehicle tables in this bulletin to determine the current software version, if the AV Control Unit requires a software version update, and which procedure to use to update the AV Control Unit. The software updates in this bulletin are to address stability improvements and âbugâ fixes. IMPORTANT: If the customer is experiencing a software related concern, refer to NTB21-038 to verify if the customer concern is a hardware or software related issue. If the concern is a software related issue, review the information in this bulletin to update the AV Control Unit as needed.

If all three steps are not completed on vehicles equipped with a TCU, the Over The Air (OTA) updates will not work, and other functions may be inoperative. HINT: Not all APPLIED VEHICLES are OTA-update capable. 1. Reprogram the AV control unit. 2. Configure the AV control unit. 3. Write the VIN to the AV control unit. DRIVE SHAFT BOOT SERVICE INFORMATION SERVICE INFORMATION If a Drive Shaft (Axle Shaft) Boot on an APPLIED VEHICLE is found to be leaking grease, AND There is no abnormal noise or obvious CV Joint risk due to water intrusion and/or complete grease loss, check for REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (CV Joint Boot Kit) availability. ï· If there is a REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (CV Joint Boot Kit) available for the vehicle being repaired, do NOT replace the axle. Install a new boot kit following the procedure in the ESM. o Refer to the ESM: TRANSMISSION & DRIVELINE > FRONT AXLE > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > FRONT DRIVE SHAFT BOOT o If the complete axle (drive shaft) is replaced when only a new boot is required, the over-repair may be charged back to the dealer. ï· If there is NOT a REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (CV Joint Boot Kit) available for the vehicle being repaired, refer to the ESM for further diagnostic information. DRIVERâS POWER SEAT RECLINES UNINTENTIONALLY SERVICE INFORMATION Refer to the information in this bulletin when diagnosing a customer concern of the driverâs (LH) power seat recline position changing unintentionally on a 2022-2023 Frontier. Not all customer concerns mean there are broken or malfunctioning parts. Use this information to help explain normal operation to the vehicle owner.
