As new vehicle configurations have been released, several injector seal tool sets have been distributed to accommodate these new vehicles. There are a total of three injector seal tool sets for Lexus models, located in the appropriate SST cabinets. Each kit contains multiple pieces as shown in the diagram below. The individual pieces must remain together to ensure these tools are used correctly. Refer to the repair manual for the tool information to ensure the correct tool is used for the desired application.

TSB: The purpose of this bulletin is to notify technicians of the best practices to help reduce brake vibration conditions for our customers. The condition can occur at any time if improper torque is applied to lug nuts. Over time, even one lug nut over- or under-torqued can cause a vibration condition. When lug nuts are over-torqued, this causes the rotor to have a runout condition, which can lead to brake vibration conditions.

TT: During previous air conditioning service, leakage prevention agent (A/C stop leak) may have been added to the A/C system. Adding stop leak products to the A/C system is not a recommended or approved Lexus repair process. During A/C service, moisture enters the A/C system, and can react with the previously added A/C stop leak, forming a gelatinous substance. The gel substance that forms can cause the A/C compressor to bind and or seize.

LSB: A battery in a stored vehicle is subject to conditions that can reduce its performance and life. These conditions include storage period, temperature, parasitic drain, and battery load. Because of these factors, battery inspection and maintenance are required in order to ensure proper operation and optimal battery life. As a matter of policy, Toyota does NOT provide warranty coverage for discharged and/or failed batteries due to lack of maintenance. It is the dealer?s responsibility to maintain specified State of Charge (SOC) of the vehicle?s battery while in stock and assure proper State of Charge (SOC) at delivery. To eliminate customer service concerns due to an undercharged battery during the first few weeks of ownership, all dealers should check battery State of Charge (SOC) and recharge, if necessary, within 48 hours of delivery to customers.

TT: TMS has discovered the current engine active test ?Control the Injection Mode? is not operating as desired when controlling the direct injectors manually on 2GR-FKS or 8AR-FTS engines. When direct injection is started and then stopped using the active test, current ECU logic does not turn off the direct injectors and can cause DTCs P017200, P017500 and P0160300. In order to avoid this condition, technicians should raise engine RPM when changing from Direct Injection active test to Port Injection active test. Use the recommended procedure below to avoid this concern while testing injection mode of 2GR-FKS or 8AR-FTS equipped vehicles. NOTE: If the active test is used multiple times without using this procedure to raise engine RPM, it may be necessary to reset learning values for fuel trim and Air to Fuel ratio before returning vehicle to customer.
