Technician will use Service Information to locate the Accessory AC and DC Power Control Module located to the right of the steering column. Remove the power inverter module and apply two sided tape to the module bracket to insulate it from the mount. The instrument panel accessory bezel will also need to be removed. Apply flocking tape to the instrument panel accessory bezel retainers. Also the instrument panel extension will need to be removed. Apply foam tape around connectors located under grill to prevent them from rattling on grill. Apply flocking tape to the instrument panel extension retainers and apply a strip of foam tape along the edge of the grill to isolate the grill from the dash.

On some vehicles, may have a condition where thermal cycling on the combination transmission fluid/oil and AC condenser cooler creates a crack that may allow refrigerant to escape. This condition consequently may deactivate the AC system which may cause potential customer annoyance. Dealers are to inspect the air conditioning condenser and replace if necessary. The outside temperature will begin to update if driven above 20 mph for at least 5 minutes. If the vehicle speed drops below 20 mph, the timer will reset and the display will stop updating. Once the display starts to update it may take several more minutes of driving above 20 mph for the display to fully update. Also if the vehicle is shut off for more than 8 hours the display will update when the ignition is turned on.

This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that may have a diagnostic trouble code U0159 set in the instrument panel cluster and/or the body control module. For vehicles equipped with Ultrasonic Park Assist System Regular Production Option Code UD5 or UD7 technician will use Service Programming System to reprogram the Parking Assist Control Module to correct this concern. Technician will need to inspect the front park assist sensors scallops/reliefs molded into the ring if previously replaced. Technician will need to replace the sensor rings with part number 84075328.

This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician on how to diagnose and repair vehicle that may have a "Check Trailer Wiring" or "Service Trailer Brake System” message on the Driver Information Center when a trailer is connected to the vehicle. Diagnostic Trouble Code C1114 set in the Chassis Control Module. Chassis Control Module has to determine the type of trailer brake system that is being used. The Chassis Control Module can be sensitive to a variety of trailer wiring issues. The technician will need to make a trailer tester using Electric Trailer Brake Magnets and 7-way trailer connector to determine if it is a vehicle or trailer issue. If the concern is not duplicated with the tester installed, the vehicle is operating correctly and the focus should be on the trailer wiring or 7 way connector.

Special Coverage. Some vehicles may have a condition where thermal cycling on the combination transmission fluid/oil and AC condenser cooler creates a crack that may allow refrigerant to escape. This condition consequently may deactivate the AC system which may cause potential customer annoyance. Dealers are to inspect the air conditioning condenser and replace if necessary.
