Clunking Noise from Front of Vehicle During Turns and/or Bumps Some customers may comment on a clunking noise originating from the front of the vehicle that is more predominant during turns or traveling over bumps. This may be caused by a damaged stabilizer shaft frame bracket. There have been some cases in which the bracket is cracked, as shown. This condition has been found to be the result of insufficient welds between the bracket and frame rail. There have been some cases on older vehicles of corrosion affecting the bracket

OnStar® Voice Fallback Number Update Some customers may have received a letter from OnStar® stating that "We recently tried to provide a software update to the OnStar® hardware in your vehicle. However, your system could not be updated remotely. As a result, some of your OnStar® system functions may not be working as expected." The customer is further instructed in this letter to "Please contact your dealer or any dealer near you as soon as possible to schedule an appointment for this no-cost software update. Your dealer will reprogram your OnStar® module with an update. This is for vehicles that have previously received the Canada upgrade as described in Service Bulletin #15-08-44-001F."

Odometer setup at the electronic service center (ESC) when using an exchange IPC/DIC. 3. Tech 2® The Tech 2 is used to set up a replacement BCM, which includes loading the odometer value that is displayed and stored in the IPC. A replacement IPC will display the previously stored vehicle odometer value, communicated from the BCM, after cycling the ignition or driving the vehicle. *The odometer programming is integrated as part of the BCM programming procedure. Technician will need to use Pico Oscilloscope Diagnostic Kit to effectively diagnosis vehicles. Technician should drive the vehicle will using the Pico Oscilloscope to record data. After the data is recorded it should be reviewed to determine the root cause of the concern. If a repair attempt made the concern better but not eliminated or had no affect at all, and are requesting assistance from General Motors Technical Assistance Center record another Pico file and save it to the computer. After the new Pico Oscilloscope data has been saved email the data to General Motors Technical Assistance Center in the subject line include ?Vibration? ?Business Associate Code? and the last 8 of the Vehicle Identification Number.

This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician on the steps to help diagnose and repair vehicles with a Antilock Braking System Malfunction Indicator Lamp on. Technician will find the scan tool will not communicate with the Electronic Brake Control Module. Technician will check the Yaw and Lateral Accelerometer Sensor and the Steering Wheel Angle Sensor supply voltage circuit 2087 Dark Green shorted and pulling down the internal circuitry of the Electronic Brake Control Module. Not all vehicles use circuit 2087 to supply voltage to the Steering Wheel Angle Sensor, so be sure to check Service Information for the specific vehicle that is being serviced. If circuit 2087 is backed out of the EBCM connector and communication returns, inspect for either this circuit being shorted to ground or for a sensor concern. Technician will repair the circuit as necessary and reroute to prevent the concern from reoccurring. If the technician is working on a full-size or utilities that have aftermarket lift kits the wheel speed sensor may be broken or shorted. Technician will repair the circuit as necessary.

This is considered normal operation of the vehicle the throttle is delayed and opened slowly up to .7 seconds to help minimize driveline lash and clunking or will have approximately .5 seconds of zero torque to allow the transmission to shift to first gear.
