This Preliminary Information communicates to the technician that some customers may comment on the operation of their haptic seat during a Lane Keep Assist event. Lane Keep Assist works differently than Lane Departure Warning. The Lane Keep Assist icon is solid amber, Forward Camera Module is actively commanding a torque to Electronic Power Steering. This means that the driver should also feel some feedback from the steering wheel. No Chimes or haptic in the seat. Lane Keep Assist icon is flashing amber; Forward Camera Module is actively commanding torque to Electronic Power Steering. This will also be accompanied with Lane Departure Warning chimes and haptic in the seat feedback based on the setting chosen in the vehicle settings. This will take place when the vehicle has crossed lane marking by (40 cm) or (15.75 in).

This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician for the adaptive cruise control or lane keep assist unavailable message in the driver?s information center after the vehicle has been parked in direct sunlight and high ambient temperatures. The cameras electronic control unit?s internal operating temperature range is -40 degrees Celsius to 85 degrees Celsius. If the temperature of the electronic control unit of the camera module exceeds 85 degrees Celsius the image processor will no longer function resulting in adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist to be unavailable until the temperature falls to below the maximum operating temperature range

N192218430 - Customer Satisfaction Program. During service, certain vehicles equipped with OnStar (RPO UE1), may have received an incorrect and partially programmed/configured replacement OnStar module. This condition will disable certain OnStar features, including Remote Access (remote start, door lock/unlock, etc.), Connected Access (vehicle diagnostics, dealer maintenance notification, etc.), and Unlimited Access (Turn-by-Turn Navigation). The OnStar Safety & Security Plan (Automatic Crash Response and Stolen Vehicle Assistance) is functional. Dealers are to replace the OnStar module, program, confirm and register the new module correctly by pushing the blue button for confirmation with an OnStar advisor.
