For Various Ford and Lincoln vehicles, if diagnostics lead to the replacement of the front seat cushion cover J-clips, lower-level service parts are now available. Use service part W709919-S901 if the J-clip is completely detached from the seat cover and W715386-S424 if the clip is still partially attached. It is not necessary to replace the seat cover if only the J-clip is separating from the cover. Bronco Sport and Maverick vehicles utilize an advanced headlamp design that features a sharp horizontal light-to-dark transition. This is an intentional optical characteristic designed to meet safety and performance standards. This transition is a normal attribute of the vehicles lighting signature and is most visible during high-beam operation. No repair is required as the system is functioning to specification. Various 2019-2024 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC 3 may experience a partially or fully black center display screen at start-up using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. This does not affect rear camera operation. This may be due to interference from the phone being connected into the media hub using a universal serial bus (USB) cable during SYNC system boot up. To correct his condition, advise the customer to disconnect the USB cable from the phone. If the center display screen displays normally, reconnect the phone. If the concern persists, disconnect the phone from the USB cable, cycle the ignition off and open the driver's door so the interior lights come on. Close the door, start the vehicle and wait for the center display screen to boot up past the start-up animation and display the home screen, then reconnect the phone using the USB cable. If the concern persists after this procedure, follow normal Workshop Manual diagnostics for a blank screen concern.

ESST packages were shipped to 100 selected dealers in the US and Canada in May 2025, based on RDU part sales activity. The RDU Internal Clutch Kit and Adhesive Sealant are currently under restricted ordering to ensure ample supply of parts are available to dealers with the ESSTs. All parts are expected to be available for open order by Q4 2025, when the ESSTs are planned to arrive at all dealers. Some 2022-2025 Maverick vehicles equipped with 2.5L full hybrid electric vehicle (FHEV) powertrain and built on or before 17-Feb-2025 may experience an intermittent 12V battery drain condition when the ignition is turned off. If the 12V battery drains, perform a 12V power reset to the vehicle by disconnecting the 12V battery negative cable for 5 minutes. Fully charge the 12V battery and use the Rotunda GRX-3590 or DCA-8000 tester to determine if replacement is needed. If replacement is needed, fully charge the new battery and perform a battery monitor sensor (BMS) reset. Engineering is currently working on a software solution for this condition that is expected in the second quarter of 2025. Monitor Professional Technician System (PTS) for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available.

This inspection of ECT3 and ECT4 sensors should be completed prior to starting the appropriate pinpoint test in Section 303-03 of the Workshop Manual (WSM). If DTCs P237F and/or P2C23 do not return, no further action is necessary and the replacement of the entire exhaust heat exchanger assembly is not required. Incorrect torque may allow the bolt to loosen resulting in the timing gear breaking and engine damage. Some 2023 Escape, Corsair, Bronco Sport and Maverick vehicles built on 01-May-2023 and through 22-Sep-2023 may exhibit a squeal and/or grinding noise and/or vibration from the front brakes while braking. This may be due to excessive wheel hub lateral runout. To correct this condition, remove the front brake disc(s) of the affected wheel(s). Refer to the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section, 206-03. Clean the raised ring-like surface of the front wheel hub near the wheel studs. Using a dial indicator, slowly rotate the wheel hub and measure the runout on the ring-like surface. If the total runout exceeds 0.001 inch (0.03mm), replace the wheel hub. Refer to the WSM, Section 204-01. Document the measured run out in the warranty claim. For claiming use the causal part number 1104 and applicable labor operations in Section 01 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS)

In various 2017-2023 Ford and Lincoln vehicles, customers may receive a message in the FordPass or LincolnWay App stating Feature Unavailable. Since this is a fleet vehicle, it cannot access the (SYNC Connect) FordPass or LincolnWay app through the TCU Embedded Modem. If this message appears, the vehicle may be equipped with a fleet telematics module. Replacement of the TCU or TCU related repairs will not prevent this message from appearing. Drive for 5 miles (8 km) in stop and go conditions with right and left turns and re-evaluate. If the issue is still present, continue with normal WSM diagnostics. Some 2020-2023 Ford and Lincoln SYNC3 equipped vehicles may experience an inaccurate notification in the FordPass®/LincolnWay® app indicating Vehicle Has Entered Deep Sleep Mode. Vehicle Has Entered Deep Sleep Mode message is expected if the vehicle has not been started for 14 consecutive days, battery voltage is at/below 9.5 volts or the body control module (BCM) 12 volt battery state of charge (SoC) drops below 50%. If the vehicle is going into deep sleep outside these conditions, this may be due to the telematics control unit (TCU) software. To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to update the TCU to the latest software. 2020-2023 Escape/Explorer, 2021-2023 F-150 and 2022-2023 Maverick vehicles equipped with a full hybrid electric vehicle (FHEV) powertrain may exhibit a cable connection error screen from the Midtronics xRC-3363 High Voltage Battery Rescue Charger. The xRC-3363 will prompt the Technician to verify the low voltage connections, when no actual fault is present. The technician will need to delete the WiFi connection from the xRC-3365 so it will not automatically reconnect and adjust the date. Next go to Settings>Shop Information>Date/Time Settings and change the date prior to May 1, 2023 and stay off the internet so it will not auto correct itself. Press and hold the power button until the tool turns off. Then turn the xRC-3365 back on and attempt the rescue charge.
