Customer Satisfaction Program. Due to the industry-wide semiconductor shortage, the front heated/ventilated seats, front heated seats, or rear heated seats are not functional on certain 2022-2023 model year vehicles listed above, built beginning November 15, 2021. The affected vehicle owners should have been made aware of the condition at sale, and notified that once parts are available, they would be eligible for a no additional cost retrofit to enable the feature. Dealers are to replace the front seat heater control module, reprogram the body control module and on some vehicles, reprogram the HVAC control module and heater and air conditioning user interface control. Note: Some vehicles may also require an additional retrofit of the Left and Right Front Seat Cushion Ventilation Blower in order to restore full functionality of the ventilated seats. Vehicles built with this condition can be identified by RPO 04O. Use IVH to verify if the vehicle is currently eligible in the Front Seat Cushion Vent Blowers Retrofit bulletin N222378560. If so, both retrofits should be performed at the same time.

This Preliminary information communicates in temperatures below freezing, it may be noticed that exhaust is only exiting from the right hand exhaust tailpipe. The cause of this condition is a low point in left side tailpipe which results in condensation building up at the low point in the tailpipe. In low temperatures the condensation can freeze and form ice limiting the flow of exhaust out of the left tailpipe. Dealers are to drill a small hole in the left tailpipe to allow condensation to drain.

Customer Satisfaction Program. It has come to our attention that some vehicles involved in the heated vented seat retrofit may also be involved in Noncompliance recall N222386380. If the OTA update is completed prior to the heated vented seat retrofit, the customer may notice the heated vented seat switch now illuminates. This OTA update does not restore the heated vented seat functionality. Completion of Customer Satisfaction Program N212354520 through N212354525 are necessary to restore the functionality of the heated vented seats. We encourage working with customers to schedule appointments to complete this important Customer Satisfaction Program. Please verify a VIN's involvement in these field actions by checking in IVH. IVH is the best source for individual VIN inquiries.
