This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have an intermittent no crank, no start, or start stall concern with the security light coming on. Technician may find Diagnostic Trouble Codes B3055, B3060, and/or B3935. Technician should not replace any parts for this concern. If unable to duplicate the concern ask if the customer uses any Radio Frequency Identification Devices when the concern is present. Dealer should also direct their customers to the appropriate section in the Owner manuals that references that the device complies.

The affected vehicle owners should have been made aware of the condition at sale, and notified that once parts are available, they would be eligible for a no additional cost retrofit to enable the feature. Due to the industry-wide semiconductor shortage, the front heated/ventilated seats, front heated seats, or rear heated seats are not functional on certain 2022-2023 model year vehicles listed above, built beginning November 15, 2021. The affected vehicle owners should have been made aware of the condition at sale, and notified that once parts are available, they would be eligible for a no additional cost retrofit to enable the feature. Dealers are to replace the front seat heater control module, reprogram the body control module and on some vehicles, reprogram the HVAC control module and heater and air conditioning user interface control. Note: Some vehicles may also require an additional retrofit of the Left and Right Front Seat Cushion Ventilation Blower in order to restore full functionality of the ventilated seats. Vehicles built with this condition can be identified by RPO 04O. Use IVH to verify if the vehicle is currently eligible in the Front Seat Cushion Vent Blowers Retrofit bulletin N222378560. If so, both retrofits should be performed at the same time.
