The ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has caused significant reductions in driving and fuel use. Due to the surplus of winter grade fuel sitting in storage (pipelines/stations) the EPA is waiving the fuel vapor requirement. This will extend the use of winter fuel into the summer months. The drivability concerns should not be single events but should be multiple occurrences associated with hot days.

The J-35616-64B is the latest test probe released for checking tension or probing the .64 series terminals. The test probe terminal has been released in the terminal repair kit (J-38125-620H) located in Lear Tray 7 part number 963716-2. There are 5 terminated leads in a package part number is 13505346, which can be ordered through your normal General Motors Customer Care and Aftersales parts channel.

This Preliminary information communicates that when a customer or technician attempts to add a new transmitter to a vehicle following the adding transmitters without Service Programming System procedure the procedure will not complete and a message "Remote Learn Pending" will be displayed on the Driver Information Center. In the past to perform the new transmitter procedure only one previously learned transmitter was required but this is no longer the case. Now, two previously learned transmitters are required to be placed into the cup holder and then the new transmitter to be programmed placed in the transmitter pocket. If this new procedure is not followed, the "adding transmitters without Service Programming System" cannot be performed. The technician will be forced to add a transmitter using Service Programming System.
