16119 - Customer Satisfaction - General Motors has discovered an inadvertent error in the Parts Content Information portion of the window label on certain vehicles, which displays US/Canadian Parts Content for the vehicle, and Country of Origin (COO) information for the engine and transmission on these vehicles. As a result, the label displayed incorrect parts content percentages and COO information for the engines and transmissions on these vehicles. GM will contact involved owners of the affected to notify them of the situation. This label error has no effect on the safety or operation of the vehicles. Dealers are to affix a corrected new replacement label to the vehicle.

This is operating as designed. Torque Converter Clutch slip with condition present, with scan tool technician may monitor plus or minus about 10 rpm at the most, usually lower. This concern is present when the throttle reading 30% to 60%.

On higher mileage vehicles technicians are instructed to remove the transmission fluid pan and inspect for debris. If debris is found technicians should disassemble and inspect for root cause of the concern and repair the transmission as needed. If no debris is found technicians are advised to replace the valve body.

This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician on using the correct oil when changing the oil on a Corvette with regular production option code Z51, LT1, LT4, Z52, Z06, and non Z51 with LT1. Technician must use Mobil 1 for all Chevrolet complete care program oil changes on 2014-2016 model year corvettes. General Motors has changed the required maintenance schedule on all 2014 through 2015 Z51 and Z06 Corvettes equipped with a dry sump system. The new schedule requires an oil and filter change immediately after the break-in period which is after the first 500 miles. An additional oil change has been added to the Chevrolet Complete Care Program to cover this break-in oil change.
