Technician should turn off the ignition and cancel retained accessory power. After the vehicle has powered down remove power to the OnStar module for five minutes. After the power has been removed for five minutes, if the OnStar system is working release the vehicle. Original Equipment Batteries Part Number and ACDelco Replacement Battery Approved Warranty Part Numbers Correct battery cold cranking amperage (CCA) ratings and type are critical for proper test results when using the EL-50313. Access to the battery specification label, which contains the OEM part number and CCA rating and type, may be difficult without component removal. Refer to the table below for the original equipment ratings and part numbers used to set up a proper battery test. There has been some confusion as to the correct ACDelco battery warranty replacement. Refer to the table below for the correct battery warranty replacement. Rear View Camera Guidelines Not Present at Times Condition Some customers may report that the Rear View Camera (RVC) guidelines are temporarily not available at times but the RVC will remain on during the concern. Additionally, no related DTCs will be found if this bulletin applies. One example of when this concern may be observed is if a customer quickly starts the car and immediately places the shifter in Reverse while the infotainment system is still in the initial boot up process. Cause This is a result of the RVC image being provided via an alternate robust RVC feed from the Video Bypass Module (NGI systems) or from the radio (BYOM2 and Info 3.0 systems). This alternate robust RVC feed is provided in the event that the primary RVC feed is not available for any reason just to ensure that the RVC image is always present when in reverse. Correction If this concern is experienced and no related codes are present, DO NOT replace any parts as it is normal for the RVC guidelines not to be present when the RVC image being displayed is from the alternate robust RVC feed. If this occurs after quickly starting the vehicle and immediately placing the shifter in Drive, the RVC guidelines can be displayed again in most cases if they are really needed by safely coming to a stop, placing the transmission in Park for a moment, and then shifting to Reverse again.

Information on Chassis Control Module (CCM) Receives Invalid Data and Sets DTC U0422 The Technician may find DTCs U0422 set. The Technician may also find the following DTCs set. U1534 U1538 Information Based on analysis with the BCM team, during vehicle startup (on occasion) the PEPS module arbitration along with high bus traffic leads to the BCM setting the door open switch virtual device availability (VDA) to unavailable. The BCM does not update the VDA back to Available until the door switch changes state (this signal is event based as opposed to periodic). The ICCM sets the U0422 DTC after 1 second of either the door ajar VDA or door open VDA being unavailable. Correction Ignore CCM U0422 DTC (no service necessary) unless it is a current/active code or is accompanied by associated BCM faults U1534 or U1538.
