The concern is present when coasting at low speeds of less than 15 miles per hour and then aggressively applying the throttle, or after making a hard stop followed by an aggressive throttle. This is considered normal operation of the vehicle the throttle is delayed and opened slowly up to .7 seconds to help minimize driveline lash and clunking or will have approximately .5 seconds of zero torque to allow the transmission to shift to first gear.

17098 - Service Update. Certain vehicles may have a condition where a false failure action is being taken when it is not required. This condition can result in the transmission holding the last known safe gear for 6 seconds. A malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) is set when this default happens more than 2 times, and reduced propulsion can happen for all 8-speed transmission applications. 17106 - Service Update. Certain vehicles may have a condition in which welds are poor or missing from the wiper motor bracket to linkage assembly. If this condition is present the wiper system still operates and wipers will still wipe the windshield; however, excessive noise will be heard during windshield wiper operation. 17048 Customer Satisfaction. Certain vehicles may have a condition in which the transfer case actuator motor brake sticks in the open position inside the transfer case actuator assembly. If 1) the actuator motor brake sticks open, 2) the vehicle is on asurface with an angle greater than zero but less than two degrees, 3) the vehicle is parked in 4LO, 4) the system is warm, and 5) the vehicle ignition is turned ?Off,? there is potential for vehicle rollback due to the range fork slipping into neutral. The brake sticking condition will set diagnostic trouble code C0326 58 and a ?Service AWD? warning will appear on the driver information center. Inspect the C-pillar which is the body verticalstructure behind the rear passenger doorarea of the affected side of the vehicle for water intrusion or water marks on the seat belt retractor. If water evidence is found on the seat belt webbing or the retractor the seat belt/ retractor must be replaced after the water leak has been corrected and verified. There are 3 areas of seam sealer that will need to be addressed. After gaining access to the C-pillar and rear quarter panel area inspect for voids or missing seam sealer and apply a clear flow able seam sealer where needed.

Technician will need to determine what type of call the customer is having that is unwanted. The vehicle may receive an incoming call just like any other phone. Typically the customer will hear the phone ringing in the vehicle. This scenario also includes incoming Bluetooth calls. One type of unwanted call can be made if the key pad is faulty the OnStar system will try to make a blue button call for shorted voltage in the circuits. The OnStar module could have an internal fault and produce a ″Phone Unavailable″ audio message also it may have a Diagnostic Trouble Code U1500 or B1000. Refer to diagnostics for the Diagnostic Trouble Code making sure to follow any applicable Bulletins or Preliminary Information sheets. A “Ready” or “OnStar ready” audio message heard while driving. In some cases it has been found that the customer is inadvertently pressing the ″push to talk″ button on the steering wheel controls. Technician may find Diagnostic Trouble Codes U0073, U0078, U0029, U0028, U0415, U0140, U0126, U0121, U0101, U0100, C0544, C0710, U1510, B127B, B2605, B3600, C0800, U0428, U0452, U0131, and P0513 set in the vehicle. Check the body control module ground at the G218 location. The front dash insulator mat may be trapped between the ground eyelet and the body stud. Remove the round nut and eyelet and cut the front dash insulator mat away from the ground stud so it no longer interferes with the ground stud and reinstall the eyelet and ground nut. Technician will also inspect the starter solenoid battery cable for shorting out on the starter heat shield. Technician will need to voltage drop the battery cables. The battery should be tested using the GR8. X183 or X133 should be inspected for any broken/loose/backed out terminals.

Technician will need to use a Tech2 to check the verify engine run time on the Engine Hour Meter in the Instrument Panel Cluster Data Display/Data 1 List in the scan tool match. If the engine run time is less than one hour, the battery may have been disconnected, or another vehicle power loss event may have occurred, during vehicle manufacturing. Technician will need to clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes and perform a drive cycle. If the catalytic converter was replaced and the Diagnostic Trouble Codes set it may be a result of the engine run time restrictions no longer being in place since the vehicle is no longer new. These concerns could be caused by the fascia harness shorted at the end of the right front bumper bar. The front fascia may need to be removed to make repairs to the wiring harness if any damage is found. Technician will also relocate the harness to prevent the concern in the future.
