This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician that some customers may find it difficult to identify which of their key fobs are Number 1 and Number 2. Technician will move the seat to a different position and store it in the #1 setting. Now that the seat has a set position, now move the seat out of that position. Technician should now ensure Memory Seat Recall is turned on in the Driver Information Center. Now the technician can use the Key FOB to unlock the vehicle the Key FOB that moved the seat to the set position label as #1.

This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician of a complaint of a sag or hesitation when accelerating. The concern is present when coasting at low speeds of less than 15 miles per hour and then aggressively applying the throttle, or after making a hard stop followed by an aggressive throttle. This is considered normal operation of the vehicle the throttle is delayed and opened slowly up to .7 seconds to help minimize driveline lash and clunking or will have approximately .5 seconds of zero torque to allow the transmission to shift to first gear.

If valid vibration frequency or Road Force Variation data has been collected and a repair attempt does not correct the customer complaint, contact General Motors Technical Assistance Center for further support. 13120B - Service Update (population added; expiration date extended). Reprogram the transmission control module (TCM). The torque converter clutch solenoid in the TECHM can stick due to debris in the transmission. When the vehicle is at the end of a coast-down, as the vehicle is coming to a stop, a stuck solenoid will fail to release the torque converter clutch. This keeps the engine directly connected to the driven wheels. As the vehicle stops, the engine speed will be pulled down below normal idle speed and the engine may stall. The vehicle can be immediately restarted and driven. The reprogramming will install a revised calibration to correct this condition.

This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that the Power Rear Lift-gate may reverse when closing. Technician will need to remove the lift-gate sill plate and cycle the power lift-gate closed to see if the concern still exists. If the concern is corrected, properly install the lift-gate sill plate. Technician will also need to inspect the lift-gate weather-strip seal for being fully installed on the body.

This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician on how to diagnose and repair vehicles that may have the Antilock Braking System, Service Traction Control System, and/or Service Stabilitrak lights are on. The Electronic Brake Control Module may have one or more of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes C0035-C0050 with specifically symptom 18, 5A, or 0F. Technician will gain access to the correct wheel bear per the Diagnostic Trouble Code that is set. If debris is found on the magnetic encoder ring it will needed to be cleaned.
