Remote control functionality is restored by pressing any of the key buttons or by removing and reinstalling the remote control key battery. The Display Key Digital Key and the Digital Key Card are not affected. Electrostatic discharge puts the remote control key into a deep sleep. Various situations can lead to an electrostatic charge which is often not recognized by the customer. For example walking over carpet wearing shoes that have a hard rubber sole positive and negative charges are exchanged. The sole accumulates a negative charge and an electrostatic charge develops before touching the remote control key.

Electrostatic discharge at standstill / start engine. Energy management" The results of the Energy Diagnosis test plan identifies the Controller as the root cause of the CCM. The Controller delays the vehicle going to sleep by up to 6 minutes. In some cases this will cause the CCM 415 to be displayed when starting the vehicle. Replacing the Controller in this case will not correct this situation.

Vehicle can be opened by pressing the remote control unlock buttons and- Engine start is possible by placing the remote control key on the steering column ring antenna. The situation corrects itself after the vehicle goes to sleep or cools down. At warm to hot outside temperatures there may be a temporary interruption in communication between the comfort access functions in the BDC. This leads to sporadic operating failure of the comfort access function.
