Mileage, where supplied

66,015 miles is the median among 65 reports with usable mileage. The middle half spans 38,993–99,000 miles.

This describes the submitted reports. It does not predict when a vehicle will fail.

02 / Official safety campaigns

3 recall campaigns on file.

A campaign can cover only certain production dates or configurations. The count does not tell you whether an individual car has an open recall.

Oct 31, 2006 Safety recallFUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLYCampaign 06V418000

Reported concern

SOME PASSENGER VEHICLES MAY HAVE FUEL TANKS IN WHICH THE FUEL DELIVERY MODULE (FDM), JET PUMP MODULE (JPM), AND/OR CLUSTER VALVE (CV) SEALS ARE NOT PROPERLY RETAINED IN THE FUEL TANK. THIS MAY RESULT IN ILLUMINATION OF THE MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP (MIL), OR A FUEL ODOR.

Manufacturer’s stated response

DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE FUEL TANKS TO DETERMINE IF REVISED SEALS MAY BE USED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. IF NOT, DEALERS WILL THEN REPLACE THE ENTIRE FUEL TANK ASSEMBLY. DUE TO PROBLEMS IN OBTAINING THE REPLACEMENT FUEL TANKS, THE RECALL BEGAN ON JANUARY 29 THROUGH MARCH 30, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT JAGUAR AT 1-800-452-4827.

Manufacturer’s stated response

UFI WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND REPLACE THE FILTERS FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON AUGUST 4, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT UFI FILTERS USA AT 800-230-5876.

Manufacturer’s stated response

OWNERS WILL BE SENT LETTERS WHICH WILL INCLUDE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS AND LABELS CONTAINING THE REQUIRED WARNING STATEMENT. IF THEY PREFER, OWNERS MAY CONTACT DEALERS TO HAVE THEM INSTALL THE LABELS. THE RECALL BEGAN ON JANUARY 25, 2005. OWNERS MAY CONTACT JAGUAR AT 1-800-452-4827.

"ISSUE: WHEN INVESTIGATING CUSTOMER REPORTS FOR INCORRECT FUEL GAUGE CONCERNS THE DEALER TECHNICIAN MAY DIAGNOSE THAT THE FUEL SENDERS ARE OPEN CIRCUIT. THIS DIAGNOSIS MAY BE INCORRECT DEPENDING ON THE MULTIMETER SETTINGS SELECTED BY THE TECHNICIAN DURING MEASUREMENT. CAUSE: THE MULTI METER RANGE MAYBE SET AT 'AUTO' AND DURING A SWEEP OF THE SENDER FROM 50OHMS TO 998OHMS THE MULTI METER HAS TO CHANGE ITS MEASUREMENT RANGE. FOR APPROXIMATELY 1 SECOND, DURING THE RANGE SWITCH OVER POINT, THE MULTI METER DISPLAY INDICATES AN OPEN CIRCUIT. THIS IS INCORRECTLY BEING DIAGNOSED AS A SENDER FAULT"
